This would be very poor vs players compared to the other guns currently in the game but god like (with ammo etc) against a hoard of zombies or if your base is under siege.

Just gonna leave this here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/188826-possible-way-to-stop-death-on-logging-in-etc/

Why would I need a gun?

If I remember correctly the default for BF3 and games like it(COD etc) is normally around 60(give or take 10) which is tiny for me with my monitor (24" and around 30-40cm away from my eyes) I get headaches and eyestrain very fast(within 20 mins) and so as soon as I get a game that is first person I try to get the FOV to 100 before playing because this is my preferred FOV in most games and I do research before hand on a game to see if there is a FOV slider and if not and it's a stupid FOV like 60 I will not buy the game.
-
Below 90FOV some people get motion sickness etc. So locking the FOV will make the game unplayable for some people and so we NEED to be able to adjust it. I personally use a FOV of 100 in most games and any lower or higher(+or-20 depending on the game) I don't get motion sickness but I do not feel comfortable playing with these FOVs.

If there is going to be a morale system I suggest it would be similar to the red orchestra/rising storm morale system where low morale because of incoming fire etc and this would mean that you shake a lot more when trying to aim etc because your scared. If you have friendlies in the area etc you get a boost to morale and so are a lot calmer and so using the aiming example again you will be able to aim easier.
-
Even Red orchestra 2/rising storm has this feature and it is rather useful. They also don't black out the rest on the screen when you look down the scope(which is realistic because nobody likes having a black eye) but this does tank your fps for some players.

I personally have never encountered the problem of logging in and being killed but I have seen a lot of posts about it and some stupid suggestions like god mode on spawn, this is why I have put this suggestion up on the forum(also I was fed up of noobs posting about it over and over). My idea through is ALSO about people server hopping to get behind people in pvp to kill them and forcing the player to spawn a safe distance from others would stop people from server hopping to get a better position in pvp. One of my friends who has also played since the start of the mod suggested that the player should have the option on log in to spawn away from the player near the log out place or to change server. Also they said it could get annoying if you play as friends so if all players near the log out place allow the person to log in or if theirs a grouping system implemented at some point the player will not be spawned at a safe distance.

I've been thinking about this idea for a while and i think it will work but will be annoying for the player. On logging in if there is another player nearby to where you logged out you will be placed a certain distance away from them so that they can't kill you on log in and you can't use an empty server to get behind them. One problem I have already thought of is the fact it could be hard to code because you would need to stop the player from spawning inside walls etc.

Could it be possible to put a train in DayZ?
Jack456Z replied to Poncho Villa's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
So it could be like the helicopter requiring skill and knowledge to drive and also have a million buttons in Russian to add to how much skill you need to be able drive it.
