Best gaming rig suited to DayZ and similar games of the same requirements for DayZ?
-dp- replied to charliewallace's topic in Technology/Programming
stretch your budget to 4/500 and you can build a half decent pc 3570k - 170 8GB ram - 40 2GB 7850 - 150 odd motherboard - 80/90 quid for cheap one -
get the same problem too, soon as more than 10/15 people join the delay kicks, in at this point its bearable - messages will be out by a minute or so , hit 30/40 + people its impossible to keep track, i've seen it taking upwards of 10 minutes on a full server for my messages to appear in gotcha after i have just said something on the server

/\ the scheduled restarts will take place depending on what interval you set in the cp, i.e if you set it to 3 hours then restarted the server at 3pm the next restart would be 6 pm etc etc , you dont have to set warning messages either, thats taken care for you. also ... whats happened to backups ? will we ever have ftp access ? and will we get BEC and Anti Hax ? the amount of script kids passing through is getting ridiculous now, i cant sit at my pc 24/7 trying to catch them all myself and dont really want to whitelist the server , if we had BEC i could atleast give others power to remove people from the game.

this is how i have been doin it, not sure it its 100% correct way but it works for me build your base/ whatever in the 3d editor - save as single player mission run arma2_3D_to_2D converter, convert map from above step to 2d map open the resulting mission.sqm in a text editor (i would use notepad++ - will make your life easier ) you will see you items you placed - class Item0 { position[]={4472.5938, 0, 7277.0659}; azimut=0; id=0; side="EMPTY"; vehicle="Land_BagFenceCorner"; skill=1.00000; you need to take the position and azimut and convert to world space co-ords {x,z,y} to [azm,[x,y,0]] so the above example would be position[]={4472.5938, 0, 7277.0659}; azimut=0; = [0,[4472.59,7277.06,0]]
