Why can't BI distribute information on the progress/status of exp. Servers and all other stuff from ONE source? I hate checking 5 Twitter accounts to get the latest news. I know there's a Devtracker Section but it mostly contains private tweets from Rocket which are absolutely non related to DayZ... I wish there was a info box in the Game, which gives you the latest informations on Maintainance, new Patches, upcoming features, etc. <_<

I'm just very concerned about the future of DayZ. Do I expect them to be in beta after 4 months? No! But I expected a lot more than they have delivered so far. It just feels like the game is going nowhere and it will never become what it should be (I hope I'm wrong). For example: I bought prison architect when it was in alpha 8 or something but I stopped playing for some time because some features (gangs) I want are still missing, yet I'm still following the progress and I love what they deliver each month - the game is getting better and better each month and I have huge faith because things just work for the most part.. I just can't see that when it comes to DayZ because the core is so badly broken which is revealed everytime a new feature is implemented.

Congrats on 2 million sold? Hell yeah! But everyone should be entitled to speak their mind regarding the slow and sloppy development (c'mon look at the last clusterfuck patch they call "stable)... it's not trolling, brah's :) Just look at the player count the game had in January (AVG 23093.53 players) compared to the last 30 days (AVG 18657.74). Many people bought the game between January and May but 20% less are playing it compared to January - kinda weird.

I have taken a break from SA and went back to the MOD (Epoch, Breaking Point) which i greatly enjoyed. Today I told myself "let's try SA again and see if things have improved". My experience as follows: - Zombies are still fucked up beyond recognition - Performance is even worse compared to the build from 2-3 months ago - Loot still respawns only after server restart - The item hotbar is still soo very unresponsive - Desync is insane - ... The core of the game seems to be badly broken (as Dean already admitted) and fixing bugs introduces even more bugs. It kinda feels like that the MOD(s) will always be ahead of SA in terms of fun :(

I don't promote cheaters in any way but I don't feel sad about them killing exploiters like you either. I'm going to wait before most of the exploits are fixed because they are an immersion killer im my opinion. You get killed by either ... - KoS (very common) -> I'm "ok" with that - Hackers (very rarely) - Exploiters (very common) - Bugs (common) ... while "you?" try to play fair and survive in an apocalypse with broken Zombies. I know people recommend going to the north but i find it so boring to hang around in forests without any threats and a backpack full of beans :) Hopefully surviving will become very challenging someday so people will more likely cooperate to see another day (don't get me wrong, we still need banditry).

Well, I might get flamed and people might remind me it's an alpha. All i can say is that DayZ is a "Zombie Apocalypse" game... Yes It says Zombie. Lets take Prison Architect as an example: They improve prisoners with almost every build they release because it revolves around prisoners.

I don't know about you guys but I would rather have better zombies than cooking. Sure it's nice to cook some stuff but why should I if I can visit any city/town and get my food from there. Give us better zombies so we prefer to hunt some animals in the forest because we don't want to risk going to cities and towns every time we need food. Make cities and towns scary and dangerous as hell, please?

I just don't see any benefits renting a server atm. You can kick and change stuff like the servername, motd, weather, time, etc.. Is that worth 70 bucks? I doubt it.

This thread made me laugh so much. It reminds me of early school days when kids fought about nonesense like which superhero is stronger and similar stuff.

The game is not changing at all. You've played on a hardcore server which increases the chance of meeting friendly players. That's all.

I love DayZ but it seems kinda pointless to play it at the current state of development. But this is just my opinion! I bought the alpha to save some cash and didn't expect much from it. Just give it time and let it grow. For me it's like a good wine which needs to develope it's taste before you can enjoy it fully.

I'm tired and I didn't mean to call you a troll (sorry about that) - I was mixing up your name with the one who's attacking you (well, actually both of you are trolling a little, tbh). While editing I realized my comment was not appropriate, so I changed it completely.

I haven't encountered any cheaters yet, but I must admit that I stopped playing DayZ for a while now. Edit: Question: why do most threads about cheaters end up in a flame war?
