So I finally got back on SA, with a new thought in my head. Since the inventory system is so much easier now (at least in my eyes) why not steal shit? I've noticed that if you can pick up items with the "F" key (as all of us probably have). I've also noticed most people drop their bag with all it's stuff in it, pick up the next bag they want and then swap stuff from bag to bag (smart people just swap the stuff then switch but welcome to DayZ where the dumber just get dumber). So I started running around Cherno, then no more than 10 minutes later I see some poor sap drop his bag in the Fire Station! "NOW IS MY TIME TO TRY THIS" I exclaim to myself. I run in whilst mashing the "F" key aiming at the bag and what do ya know? It freakin worked! Bag on my back I run and he chases with his bat yelling curses that players in Novy could hear. I lose him through the new alley ways throughout Cherno (Thank you Dean and Devs for making new escape routes) and run off to the woods. Check the bag and nearly shit myself. The poor kid (yes he was a kid Direct chat let me know) had put his freaking Pistol Ammo and mags in that thing. Fresh fruit, food, drinks, the whole shebang. Let this be a tip to players and a warning! Your shit CAN DEF be stolen in the blink of an eye.

Dude NWAF is covered in places to loot. There is a small military base literally up the road to the north of Kamenka. Don't really try any of the old places from the mod. They seem to be quite disappointing now. Run the backroads until you se random towns hidden in the woods. I got fully geared from one of those.

Well Im not sure if any friendly servers are up yet. However if ya feel like playing and surviving go look up "How To survive DayZ" in google. You will get many results and good ones at that.

Same here I got a 4GB 670 and an i7 3770k 3.50GHz and this happens to me. Turn your shadow on high to make it GPU intensive and not CPU. That helped me for about 5 frames.

I'm personally not having any real issues finding stuff. Yes I go to the military bases to get some stuff ON OCCASION! I am a sneaky and cautious player I stake out places and make plans before I actually go in. I have marked out an entire map with escape routes out of the military bases and severe places of interest. Most people will call me nuts for going that far but hey the game is what you make it. However do you want to know why? Because as we all know there are going to be those KoS muffs in the back of the barracks just using you as a delivery system for there food and water. I am in agreeance here on what you are saying. Finding shit can be difficult at times, and what I really hate is that there is no Automatic weapon to combat the M4 that you can find out side the bases. Don't get me wrong the Mosin is amazing! But I would like to see some sort of weapon that is better than a bolt action hunting rifle or pistol. Hopefully later down the line we can find Civilian AK's and mod them to be full auto. I mean this is a part of fuckin Russia, there should be an AK behind every blade of grass nearly xD. No but for real I would like to see some better loot spawn outside the bases. There are Deer Stands everywhere and they don't spawn shit, no canteens no weapons no nothing. However as everyone said it is an Alpha. But you bring a good point. Ok, so I download the latest update. Thinking that I will FINALLY be able to connect, but no. Every damn server I get "Connecting Failed". I was able to connect the day it came out and yesterday. Now? Just an endless sea of "Connecting Failed". Is anyone else having this issue? It happens to me on G-Mod a lot too and it's getting quite annoying.

Overstuffing yourself can and will get you killed as well. You can get sick from it and just start losing blood slow AF. Also if you drink from a well you can get sick not saying it's a guarantee, but it can happen. Im glad to say I finally got a character sorted out. Go look up my "Thieving! Your new best friend . . . " thread and that's how I got started. Been alive for at least 9 hours now.

Yeah same here, at first I thought it was my crappy internet that was the problem seeing how G-Mod does the same thing for me not showing servers. Since then looked into it I had to Verify Files for my Ticket Check to go through. As for DayZ that doesn't seem to be the case. Same here as well, I start up DayZ and see all servers at first being completely full. Then I refresh and I don't see a single one though.

Well I just recently changed mine. It used to be Dr. House, because I was the best Medically Trained infantryman in my Company I was asked to help the Medics quite often. I then got injured by a RPG whilst in Lashkar Gah Afghanistan, I now walk with a Cane. So I know shit tons of medical stuff and walk with a cane. Seemed appropriate to have Dr. House as my avatar. I have been handcuffed twice. I like the fact that players can now be handcuffed. Yes it sucks when it happens trust me I know, the first time was total bullshit. Someone handcuffed me from upstairs, the second was also BS. I was told to stop by several bandits with M4s and they continued to do their thing. I was happy that I actually ran across bandits ACTUALLY DOING REAL BANDITRY, or so I thought. They checked my gear and said that I didn't have anything they wanted so they ran off, or so what I thought again. I started to wiggle around and then they ran around the corner again took aim and killed me. Really? You handcuff me, tell me I don't have anything, run off just to come back and kill me for what I now DEFINITELY know as no good reason at all? If this persists and becomes a regular thing? I hate to say it but I WILL just log. If I don't have anything you want and you tell me so just to return and kill me for no reason? Yeah I'm going to log even if it sets my character back to a respawn, fu** your kill.

The mod will always be around and be played. Since the files are out people have changed the mod so much they can almost call it their own to a good extent. Me personally I play SA AND the Mod. The mod will always hold a place in my heart, as well as others, as the beginning of a new era of gaming. A MMO, 1/3PS, Zombie infection Survival game? It's where it begins in my eyes. The mod holds things we cant find in SA, and has a rock solid base at its core. SA will eventually overturn the Mod, however people will always play the mod.

I hate to say to do this, however server hop man. Go to one with almost no one in it. I looted 5 towns and found only a Rotten Kiwi. I hopped and found Rice, Fresh Kiwi, and other items (nothing too OP). Understandably the game is supposed to be difficult and about survival but damn. I thought this was a Zed Apoc not "The Road". And even IF this is the way it will be (which I highly doubt) look at all other Zed Apoc games and movies, even The Walking Dead. You see shit everywhere, if they need food? They go to the supermarket in every movie/game and shelves may not be full but there is definitely SOMETHING there.

So I keep seeing a lot of posts about what's wrong with the Hunger/Thirst system. Well I'm here to take a crack at it after fooling around with it for a bit. You spawn on the coast already hungry, I believe Rocket made it like this to add some sort of "back story" to characters. Kinda of like a washed up on the shore from the waters kinda thing, now you're hungry and gotta get the most basics out of the way first. I also believe this is a way he is trying to get players to interact instead of kill each other. Since guns are rare on the shore, and we can just run from the Axe Wielders, OFF TOPIC REAL FAST! Speaking of axe wielders a guy chased me yesterday for 45 minutes straight calling me a "Faggot, pussy, and bitch" for not fighting I was a fresh spawn. I found it hysterical because he doesn't know about the weight system. He has an axe out and I have nothing. Basically left him in the dust. He somehow caught up and my friend was there in the distance with a Rifle he found as soon as the "Badass" axe wielder seen it he combat logged xD, BACK TO TOPIC! Now when you spawn you have to eat and drink a lot, when you finally get the "I feel Full" or other message of the sort you stop getting the "I am thirsty/hungry" message. HOWEVER some of us seem to have a new issue. I drank and ate, I got the "I am full" message . . . I'm still dying. YES I am still dying, after about 10 minutes I get "I feel dizzy" or "I feel light-headed" so I stop sit down and rest. Nothing works I tried everything. I looked up what the messages were about. They meant I was Dehydrated when I just drank a buttload of water (A buttload is an actual term for 126 gallons, THE MORE YOU KNOW xD). So I relog thinking maybe it will fix it. I relog and . . . Im dead. Really? It seems when you start to go grey and try to relog you just either get knocked out or die. I wish I knew how to fix this issue but haven't found anything yet. If anyone has anything farther than this please let us know. Now on the hacker issue, I'll make this quick, They paid $30 to play just like all of us and we all know they will eventually be caught. Also we all know Dean is a no mercy kinda guy to this anus tarts. So don't worry they will eventually be banned, go and cry to Bohemia/Dean Hall, and they will be still crying after they learn they will not be coming back unless they waste another $30 and getting a new steam account.

Well, my friend Hauser who is an Admin on PsychoDayz servers pointed out to me he seen some guys hacking in his server. He went to the website that the hackers were blatantly advertising and watched a video to see if it was good proof to ban them. Well he watched there "The Laughing Mans #1" server hack test and seen them trying to hack me in the Video. Needless to say they only showed them hacking me for about 5-6 seconds because I blasted the hacker in the face. My character is still even sitting at NWAF with the same M4 CCO Camo. However this is for admins to get names of hackers to ban if they wish to take the time to do so. These guys are showing off hacks that I've been told CANNOT EXIST, such as aimbots and others.
