I actually just changed my server to an EPOCH server...mods to follow soon. Personally, I enjoyed the increase in vehicle types and the ability to create/build. I just did the update (from a work 'puter) and cant even check it out till much later, but perhaps I will see you there! Shadow~

I totally understand...sometimes, when you first start and it seems like you wait for-fuckin-ever for the game to load, then in a blink you see "You Are Dead!" filling your screen. Bummer. SO, while I get it, just keep trying and learn to be a better player. I favor a hi-pop server (40-50 players constantly) and can make it easily from Balota to the NEAF without getting killed. There and back again. To be sure, in the not so distant past, I would get popped on the beach faster then the Kardasian sisters, or Snookie from Jersey Shore, but now, not very often! Keep goin buddy, your doing fine.

Yep, they glow in the forest like the rocks, pigs and tree stumps. I found a UAZ with six of them and thought I had found the lost gold of el dorado. Every single place I try and put one that would be a good hiding place, it says "nope...not here girly-man". I cant 'rest' in them, or repack them either. Now I simply repair and hoard cars and trucks all over my area of operation. Easier to move and typically hide. No complaints here, just sayin'

Doesn't vs 1.7.7.1 mod the zeds into a less relentless foe? I know on several private servers, the PvP is horrible. I can either choose to deal and get better or take my ball and go home. DayZ isn't for everyone...seriously.

This is sage advise. Another thing to consider is multiple camps, as you spawn in multiple locations. Remember: If its easy for you to find, its easy for someomne else as well. Clearings arent really yout best friend as they can be sporttd from the air. Anyplace around a hot-spot ( NWAF, Balota ect.) can be run into by a survivor or group. Off the beaten path is best, but ultimately there is no place that I can think of that is 'safe' from detection and attack. Be creative and selective, and do not forget to move from time to time. I had that happen to me today. Logged out to take a leak and a call, loggedback in and there I was! Wow, how odd!. So, I simply looted myself and ran away...lol!

Well, it was after DAYz of repairing a little bird, a zillion trips for fuel, and finally getting into the air with some hard won gear stored in the back. Landline rings (have to get it, expecting a call), cat jumps on the keyboard and before I can recover from dropping the phone, punchin keys and slappin the now beer soaked cat away, the lil furball sends me into a death roll/dive into the bay. Brings a tear, ill tell ya...
