Bio
My life story? I was born, I grew up, here I am!
I'm a nineties kid with a taste for eighties music. I enjoy zombie flicks, eating Doritos and annoying my evil neighbours by playing games at max volume.
By the way, I'm not really a cat in a top hat. ;)

Ah, good to see you've finally taken my advice and made a profile! :) Its good to have you here. Welcome to the forums! Enjoy your stay here, I look forward to seeing what you post! Mr.Bewley.Esq

780 it is, then. Thanks for the help guys!

Not yet I don't, no. ;) I'm only part time working ten hours a week, the rest of my time is sent working on the project detailed in my other posts. I'm normally very good with my money, this is unusual for me :D I'm supposed to be getting increased work hours soon, no idea when, though.

It doesn't help that a new one comes along every five seconds. So much choice... I feel your pain... :)

Not so much a budget as I am constrained by his much I earn a month (only around a few hundred a month). I should also have access to a bug wedge of cash on my 18th birthday in a couple of months, that's when I get most of the components.

So I'm in e process of building a new gaming rig after saying goodbye to my dear old laptop, and I've decided on pretty much every component apart from the GPU. I was looking at splashing out for a GTX 690, but this recently came to my attention: http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-780 So as that it's much cheaper than a 690, is newer and is, according to one of my tech-savvy friends, slightly better than a 690, I was wondering whether it would be a good idea to grab one? Thanks Mr.Bewley.Esq

What guns would you like to see in SA?
Mr.Bewley.Esq replied to WBK's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'd love to see a double-barrelled over under shotgun, like the Beretta Silver Pigeon. They're pretty commonly used in recreation like clay pigeon shooting, and as I live in the UK and have used one, I assume them to be everywhere. :D EDIT: It would also be cool to see them used for their intended use by shooting birds for food, assuming something like that is implemented! -
Music, weather, and zombie farming for Standalone
Mr.Bewley.Esq replied to Farkinob's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think by 'farming', he's referring to storing them and using them as biological weapons against other survivors. If this was done right it could lead to loads of unique and cool scenarios, though I can see trolls flooding people's bases with zombies just for the lolz. -
Its a funny story where my username came from, considering it's also a nickname I'm referred to as IRL too. Back in college, I was pissing about with a text to speech generator when I was supposed to be working. Thinking it'd be hilarious to hear a computerised voice say the word 'bollocks', I typed it in. Instead of hearing a proper pronunciation of the word, what I heard was something that sounded a lot like 'bewl'. The name Mr Bewley just sort of grew from there. Not a graceful origin, I know. But it's a name that I like and will probably use for years to come. :D

Music, weather, and zombie farming for Standalone
Mr.Bewley.Esq replied to Farkinob's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think it'd be cool to see players running their own radio shows. Think Galaxy News Radio-esque broadcasts a la Fallout 3 ;) These are all pretty cool ideas, beans given. :) -
Not many zombie games set in Britain these days, apart from Zombi-U being the only one I can think of. I suppose its too miserable already, at least where I live. Nobody would notice if zombies suddenly popped up.

DayZ Inspired Book (In Progress)
Mr.Bewley.Esq replied to ching_yung's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
^^ Agreed. Once you have the setting planned out, you can build a story around it. If to make it up as you go along you might end up with weird inconsistencies and such. Its also better to stick with places and things you know about, rather than guessing at stuff and maybe getting it wrong. My tidbit of advice/agreeing with others :) Mr.Bewley.Esq -

I've actually posted a short story I made up off the top of my head. It's in my 'Aspiring Writer' post in the off-topic subforum. And I'm always happy to offer ideas. I have too many to spare as it is. :) -
