I like the direction they're taking it, the zombies are far better and now actually pose a threat. I understand what they trying to do with the food, but right now its just broken. I played 5 hours yesterday, looting villages up north. Didn't find one single food spawn, the cooking system is BROKEN so you cant cook any meat. The only way on getting food is picking apples and berries. If they decide to implement harder zombies and scarcer food spawns they need to make sure shit works. Meaning you should be able to cook meat at least. Even if Cooking would work you still need a pot and a tripod (which now is even harder to get), which in my opinion is really unrealistic as humans has been cooking meat over open fire for centuries. The idea is in the right direction, but the way they've done it has broken the game and caused alot of people to stop playing. I am not complaining about the zombies because I think they are much better now ( Some tweaking should be done obviously) Fixes for this is in my opinion: - Increase food spawn ( So you can at least find SOMETHING ) - Tweak the loot system ( It's clearly pretty bugged out atm ) - Fix the cooking system. ( Really should not need a pot for simple cooking of meat)

Details is everything, really hope it gets improved from Arma2s unpersonal interiors/designs. Sure player-made details would be cool, but not sure how the engine is going to be capable on doing that, a persistant world where corpses/bloodsplat/empty shells/bulletholes etc would stay forever is probably quite hard to do and optimize :)

Sounds good, The Road captures it very nicely. Also taking a look at the interior photos of Pripyat apartments would be a good idea. As people would have left in a rush there could be dinner plates on the table with rotting food, family photos, toys in the children room etc. Also maybe some boarded up house designs? Hastily made fortifications by the owners (planks, closets infront of doors). And in some instances you'd find the owners crawled up dead in a corner of the house :D. Just brainstorming here heh.

Well, I ain't going to even try joining a server seeing these bugs. Don't understand why people try joining servers when they read the thread and see that everyone is loosing gear and having massive bugs. If you don't mind loosing gear then -fine- go ahead and try playing, if you -do- have a problem loosing your shit then chill out and do something else until the bugs are fixed.

Seems something has happened with the Editor aswell. I updated to newest beta patch at the same time as I updated DayZ. When I place a player unit I have no weapon, when I place an air unit (player) I spawn on the ground not able to move. Related to the bugs? Has never happened before and I've been playing Arma2 for years.
