    Official Servers

I just got ArmA II:CO and the DayZ mod and I have no idea what is going on with the servers. I got DayZ Commander and I read that I should remove unofficial servers. I know that some servers ("public hives"?) are connected where you spawn with the same items and location. I do not know if unofficial = private and official = public, but I would like to know how this whole thing works. I am constantly trying new servers because there are so many different game-modes, Veteran/Noob, Origin etc. (I have no idea what I am talking about). When I join these servers, they sometimes ask me about what map I want to join, characters and other things. SHORT VERSION - How can I find servers where I will span with the same items and map? Thanks guys, I can't wait to get into the game.

    DayZ Standalone Relase Date?

Ok, response 1: Tomorrow Response 2: Soon Response 3: No idea Well, I am still as confused as before. Atleast now I know that no one knows. Thanks for the quick reply guys. I am REALLY hopojng that it will be tomorrow, but I am trying it to ge my hopes up.
  3. Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone had a approximate dat for the release of the DayZ standalone public Alpha. I have decided against buying ArmA II:CO just for DayZ because I have heard that the standalone alph will be coming out in June. June is an ok time, but I was looking for something ore specific. I am gong to be waiting for the day to come and I ope it is soon. PS: I hope that this is in the right section (I am a new player, right?). Also if they are any errors it is because the keyboard on iPads suck.

Just a few questions about the game.

I understand that it is a mod for ArmA that is free on Steam. I now understand that the DayZGame is under development and will be released sometime next month (I did a little research), I also get that I should buy it on Steam. My (hopefuly) last question is: Do you suggest I wait until the beta is opened, then but into it. Buy it on Steam now. Or buy it on Steam now, play it for awhile, then get it when the beta opens? I am guessing that you are going to say the last option. I have heard that when the beta opens the buy in will be $5 to $10, which is very cheap.

Just a few questions about the game.

For you points about question 1 and 2, I went to his site - http://dayzmod.com/ - and downloaded this - http://dayzmod.com/?Download - It says that I can play it if I have the ArmA II:CO files, I can play it. Isn't that the sequel? Can I not play it buy buying ArmA II:CO? Should I or should I not buy the ArmA II:CO on Steam? That is now the big question (I can but it at places like GOG.com etc.) though, if possible, I would prefer to get it on Steam. Once again, I have no idea what is going on right now... PS: If I am missing something pretty obvious here, please explain. I am really be when it comes to the difference between two similar things.
  6. Hello players. I have been told that you fellows are the best of the best, the crème de la crème. My questions are as follows: 1. What is up with this DayZ Alpha thingy? Is this the start of the full game? I have heard that the next version will be coming out in June and will cost about $5 to $10 to get into the beta. I really want to buy ArmA II:CO so that I can play the DayZ mod. What is going on with this Alpha version and should I wait until it comes out? 2. If I buy ArmA II:CO on Steam, will I still have access to the Alpha version of the full game (seeing as it requires the ArmA II:CO files to play)? 3. Is ti worth it? I know that since most of you have the full game (and like it), but what are the major pros and cons? My main questions are the ones about buying it on Steam and waiting for the Alpha version to come out. Thanks a lot guys. I hope to be playing this game when I get it, or when the Alpha comes out. EDIT: The first part of my question is black. I have no idea why... If you highlight it you can see it. I changed the color to white, it looks different but you can see it at least.
