Someone finally learnt how to formulate a coherent and sane post. *applause* I think peoples grievances might be the fact that you sounded like a broken record at one point. Constantly repeating yourself. Clearly you have come around. Be it meds or otherwise. Your point of the unfinished and rubbish looking GUI has been made. If you have nothing further to ad please hush, if you want to make a suggestion on how to fix the GUI perhaps, make like a good gummy and go make a thread so you and your brethren can join you for a nice circle jerk :P -

with the game calming down in the standalone which i know it will. The way loot is handled will be critical i think. Having to really scavenge is a big + in my books and will definitely add to the experience. This will also be reinforced by the crafting mechanic. Player encounters are heart pounding as it is, this slower pace of survival rather than PvP in the standalone will amplify that hostile player scenario i think sound is a big one for me, i think we will be slightly let down with sound in the early stages of the release (i really hope to be proven wrong). This is the type of game that sound could really hit home the immersion and emotion of the survival experience. -

Besides the unavoidable epic nerd rage that will ensure on the alpha release, im really looking forward to getting my teeth sunk into it and really seeing what all the hard work from Dean and the team has amounted to. to be honest, the way the server/client talks will and should be under huge scrutiny in my eyes. Thats the only game breaker for me ATM, everything else i can look past for the time being. I cant wait for the day that all the bugs/silly issues are stamped out and we just get regular content/feature drops B) -

I'm really dreading the release of the alpha in a way. So many disillusioned people will expect a final polished product :( -

Check where i am? act accordingly? This is the DayZ Mod forum habib, if i did that i would be in a constant state of prepubescent nerd rage over UI 'issues' pre public alpha  . I'd much prefer spending my time discussing things about the mod/standalone and giving it back to the forever alone broken record trolls. I stand by what i said regardless of you reporting it or the post getting deleted. If that means i get banned then so be it, i wont however compromise what i think of someones thoughts or in a certain forum members case, their mental state  -

You don't qualify as you seem to be able to string together a sentence without going into a fit of epic nerd rage. You probably grow your neckbeard on purpose as well, this also disqualifies you :P so cheer up sunshine. :beans: -
OP, your avatar perfectly suits your question, I can see the posts now... "If Dean was so transparent he would tell us where the easter eggs are"

First trolls the unfinished trivial UI graphics, then proceeds to knock the DayZ forum mods. Gummy just went full retard. Gummy didn't anyone tell you bud? Nobody goes full retard man. For the record btw, i personally think the UI looks rubbish, but im glad it does, this tells me effort is being spent on more pressing issues. Hacking anyone? Animations? Gameplay? Engine Optimization? nah but UI man, shit should be first on the list, fucking devs  -

fixed for you  -
I must admit, the biggest thing for me is sound. I remember when i first played the mod i heard the sound effect for the birds flying off the brush, definitely made me clinch my buns, was a bit sad to learn that the sound effect is ambiance. i truly hope this isn't the case in the standalone. I really think sound is overlooked in some titles and i trust the DayZ team understand how useful sound can be in portraying the post apocalyptic world :D

Stop feeding the trolls. If these fuckwits dont understand by now that the only challenging aspect of the UI is the HUD design then there is no hope. The art guys will smash the pretty stuff out in an afternoon between games of table tennis. -

thats assuming he is hiding and not working his ass off trying to get this game done.Lets not forget the old days of no developer dialogue with the community. ANYTHING that comes out of BI about DayZ is a priviledge, not a right. Dean knows his game will sell, IF he makes it the way he wants and with enough time. Anything else is a distraction. You have the suggestions thread trolls, have your nerd fits in there. Anyone that complains about the commercial side of things with Dean attending interview after interview or making a build for E3. This is the world we live in, anyone condemning BI or Dean for that automatically puts there own voice on mute. People need to do chain interviews to sell a product. BI isnt a fucking charity FFS. This whole everest fiasco, oh man hahahah, Dean must of been chuckling his icey ass off while in everest. Nerd rage because someone is fufilling a life long goal? LAWL Trust your fucking developer guys. I personally think Dean has involved the community too much, Dean has given the community too much credit for being upstanding and mature. Which is impossible when you put lonely attention seeking fuckwits behind a keyboard and give them anonymity. Having said that much respect to the huge contributors that have reinforced what Dean and BI are doing by picking apart a MOD and modding it  . For any future trolling tiprats that want to pin me as a Dean fanboy. FUCK OATH I AM! He is making the game i want to play. Until i see a failed product which im sure i wont, i will be an eargerly waiting fanboy with a raging DayZ hardon. I cant wait for the shitting animation so i can shit on the dead bodies of you filthy trolls. -
i have 2 3GB 7950s in CrossFire. I need it as im running at 2560x1440. Getting 40-50fps on low settings :( Im really hoping the standalone is optimized. I would love to be able to run at 50-60fps.

great progress Dean. I think i speak for everyone when i say this. These are the only kinds of updates we want. I personally dont think you need to have a long winded devblog which takes time to compile. A screeny once or twice a week with some foot notes is all thats really needed. It would take minutes to do, would keep me and im sure a lot of others happy and most importantly let you focus on what needs doing. Its when we hear nothing that people get irritated. keep up the good work. my wallet is primed mate  -

wow, that's an excellent idea and haunting at the same time. love the condition of the buildings. maybe 2-4 years down the track, the house models in game can be changed to reflect then being abandoned for so long
