  2. sigh Came in with an open mind hoping to see a cool idea; immediately stopped reading your post because you started it with a completely inaccurate' date=' baseless and generally asinine statement so I am immediately poisoned against whatever your idea is going to be. Whatever it is, cool or not, it's coming from someone who doesn't even care enough to acknowledge what the game already provides. Teamwork is practically [i']all there is in this game. All those people dying all the time dragging the survival time down to 30 minutes? It's because they're not in teams or not working well with their teams. Incentives to cooperative play are prevelant and more are coming. Utilizing them is how I have survived for 17 days on my current survivor and 19 days on the previous, and how my primary teammate is on day 36 all the while the average is 30 minutes... If you're going to post suggestions for improvements at least make an attempt to experience and acknowledge the teamplay aspects that already exist so that you appear to speak from a platform of experience and reason rather than wild, reactionary bullshit. I'm going to go read your idea now. Edit: Actually an excellent idea and one I've had myself. If only your post wouldn't have started with the stupidity I might have joined the conversation less angry. Oh, well. Unlike this idea which is quite possibly the most retarded I've read on the forums since their inception. Edited my OP, Happy? :D (not being sarcastic either)

    The best chance you have of meeting somebody & actually teaming up is after a fresh spawn when you both have no weapon. Even then its like "if he gets a weapon first will he kill me because he thinks when i get a weapon ill kill him" or "if i get a weapon first should i kill him in case he kills me for my gear when he gets a weapon".

    Then teams would just send one person into the area whilst rest keep watch/protect him from afar. I ain't over exaggerating anything, As i said ive been playing this mod for close to two months, Ive played on UK, US & Euro servers ... 90% of the people I'VE met will shoot on site. Ill be honest, I have recently met more people that didn't shoot on site but that's only since the game got patched with no starting weapon & they never had a weapon to kill me with lol.

  6. Look im not saying my idea is best ... Like i said that is just an idea, Maybe somebody has a better one? Not everybody has friends they know outside of the game to play with. My point is we could use some sort of incentive that may make players wanna team up rather than just shoot on site!
  7. All i ever read while reading these forums is "there is no teamwork in this game" ... "teamwork this" & "teamwork that" ..... It was just a idea why would people be a cock about it? Grow up man! Exactly, That's all im saying all im saying.

AND at least if you send/receive a "trust" invite it shows you/the other player is/are friendly. 100% of the time i kill somebody now just because of the fact that i 100% believe that if i don't they WILL take me out, At least with some sort of of invite the other players knows i don't wanna hurt them.

    How about a mutual agreement or "trust" option in game, Where as players can join a sort of team/group(they can still kill and shoot each other etc)and there are rewards for teaming/grouping up. I dunno maybe make it so that when you hover your iron-sight/crosshair over a person that is say a maximum of 10ft away(they must be within 10ft)you then scroll your mouse wheel as you would but there is a option to "team up" or "trust" .. Something like that, If you do that the other person gets a option to either say yes or no, If the other person accepts this you both now "trust" each other and you can work as a team(of course you could betray that trust and kill the other player if you wish) Now if players team up we could have maybe moral or happiness that you only get from teaming up .. Something like that where if we break a bone, Bleed, Go into shock or become sick the effects maybe last half of the time & naturally wear off or stop over time without the need for morphine or pills etc, Maybe make it that you have say 30% less chance of taking critical damage from the infected, I dunno just some ideas Obviously don't wanna overpower teaming with extra items or weapons etc. I dunno, What do you guys think?

    Yeah guys lets not forget this IS currently in ALPHA stage, As said things are added, Removed & even drastically changed in a alpha. If ANY new content added don't go as planned it can be altered or even removed. Remember this is a ALPHA, Lets not bitch about content until we have actually tried it!

    You can. I do. Just use the ARMA2_OA_Build_94103 beta patch. Not the latest Tried every build from 94103 right back to 93666 and none work :( I'll just wait for the 1.7.2 update :) Hopefully it comes today What about the latest v94209?

    Easiest way .... Put a 1 - 2 min time so that your character stays put 1 - 2 mins AFTER you log out BY ANY MEANS. This way you are pretty much force to go fine a safe place so log before you actually log out. More simple: When pressing disconnect/ALT+F4/Power off your PC your character remains ingame for 2 minutes. So if someone tries to escape using a disconnect' date=' he will actually make it more easier for his opponent to kill him :) [/quote'] Ahh beat me too it, But hit the nail on the head. But upon doing the 2 min logout plan we would maybe have to wait 2 mins before we could log into another server so our character can clear from the server we just left.

    Hey Rocket, Great work so far man. Are there any plans in the future to look at the issue where you are injured while proning through a door? I mean just the other night i was prone/crawling through a doorway & BAMM! .. I had broken bones, I was in shock and bleeding. Also upon entering most doors it auto stands you up ... leaving you totally visible to zombies/bandits just when you where trying your best to stay stealthy.

  18. Damn doors! ... Not only do 99% of doors you enter while prone auto force you to stand up whilst you are trying to enter and then aggro any infected near by, Either by seeing you or hearing your footsteps BUT earlier tonight i was up in Mogilevka, I had plenty of gear(no morphine)i tried to prone/crawl through a door then BAMM! .... I was unconscious, In shock with a broken bone and bleeding, Just by trying to prone crawl through a doorway! :@ People say never go anywhere without morphine but ive only ever seen it in hospital and entering a city is pretty much suicide! That was me screwed! ... I love this game & i bought ARMA II:AO just to play it but these doorway issues really needs fixing! If these issues where to be fixed i would be like :D

    where to loot

    When you start a fresh spawn be sure to look at the bottom right of your screen, It will say, Chernarus & below that it will say roughly your location then below that how many days you have been alive. Using the map above fine your location. Say for example you spawn near Balota, As you can see from the map Cherno is East so obviously you wanna have your right shoulder to the sea and keep running until you reach Cherno. Also another good way to tell where you are is look for road sighs the again find your location on the map. Be aware going to the airstrips/fields & major city is very dangerous, There is a great chance you will be killed not only by infected but most likely the other players.

    Morphine.

    Does morphine spawn in other locations apart from hospitals? .. I mean i managed to escape a attack from a bunch of infected but revived a broken bone whilst doing so, I'm way up in Mogilevka and don't really wanna try crawling all the way down too Cherno to the hospital. So what are the chances of me finding morphine way up here?
