I'm really excited to give this a try. I haven't played the vanilla MOD in over a year. Cheers!

Hey fellas. I'm working on a new DayZ how to series. This is my first attempt at something like this, but I'm already having a lot of fun with it. If you enjoy the video, please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE for future content. Thanks for watching!

What if there were trading posts run by NPCs? I'm thinking of something like what would have been seen in the early American frontier. A fortified structure inhabited by NPCs that will accept certain items for trade. They do not fire unless fired upon, but attack aggressively when provoked. Players can trade for goods with NPCs, or swap between themselves. This would provide a believable place for players to interact without fear of being shot on sight. A few features I would like to see included in this concept are: Feature #1 An NPC Trader(s) that will trade for items or create wanted posters. Feature #2 A bulletin board displaying wanted posters with bounties insured by the trading post. Bounties would be redeemed here as well. Feature #3 A working well provides free drinking water. Feature #4 An area protected by NPC guards where players can safely trade goods and services. Any suggestions?

Alright already. You guys don't like the idea, I get it lol. It was just a suggestion. I want to increase player 2 player interaction, and this was a thought I had along that line. How about some alternative suggestions that would work?
-
Oh, I see. Well, I guess I just disagree. I think it would be a neat feature.

Well, I never have trouble earning stuff, but I don't get much opportunity to interact with other players without the constant threat of being killed. People would naturally develop a safe to conduct trading. There are many historical parallels.

I can see you're quoting someone, but I don't know who that is, so it has absolutely no meaning to me.

I'm specifically think about hiding under a bed.

SA Suggestion: Direct Transfusion instead of blood bags.

I'm thinking that the entire healing process is going to take longer in the SA. Blood bags work way too fast in the mod as compared to reality. The way things stand, blood bags are basically health potions. I'm hoping for a different direction in the SA. -

When I said I was thinking about blood storage, I meant that I was thinking about the difficulty of storing blood with no electricity. The transfusion kit in the image doesn't store anything. It just directs blood from one person to another. Its plastic, so it might be hard to sterilize repeatedly. I thought it might build and infection % chance every time its reused. -

Yeah. That's what got me thinking of it. I didn't take his meaning as direct transfusions. I thought he meant "harvesting" blood bags from other survivor's over-all blood pool. Thus all the vampire comments. Direct transfusion would be voluntary, and would most likely weaken the healthy player temporarily. It would also take a pretty long time. I was thinking about blood storage, and remembered this from some military history I've read. EDIT: I posted this on /rdayz too. I don't really care about credit in any case. I just think it would be cool to have it in the SA. -

Probably not. I'm sure someone else came up with it before. I just put together this graphic, and made the suggestion. Sorry if it's already been made, but I hadn't heard about it. -
Hey fellas, I cut this guy out of a screen shot from the stand alone. I thought everyone could have some fun placing him in different photos. Hopefully I've linked this correctly. Cheers, Thom And here's the direct link if that didn't work: http://i.imgur.com/3BkWIuc.png

Maybe this shouldn't go in the suggestions thread, but I'm not sure where else to put it. I found some really great photos online that I thought might be useful as source material to the game devs. They look like they came straight out of Chernarus. Hopefully someone finds this useful. Cheers. http://www.pyromasse.ca/articles/watd_e.html

Thanks! I just want to repeat though that I found this album online after looking around for hours. I use pictures like these as base photos to play with in making fan art. I'm pretty sure the original photographer is a guy called Marcus Flynn, and the web link is his material. I just thought it looked so much like DayZ that it might be worth sharing. Cheers. -
