I am playing on the PDR servers. They have a cool "Green Zone" rule which basically means that you can't kill anyone when you are on the south coast. Makes it much easier to find friendly co-op, but also allows for a great bandit action. When you get killed, re equiping with or without help is a lot faster because of the Green Zone. Yuo should check out our server. There are a couple of groups like that on there, and bunch of other guys who will enjoy fighting you when you get up and running ;-). www.pdrserver.co.uk this server is interesting because of the GreenZone rule. Makes for a good mix of cooperative play and bandit play.

Oh well,... I guess Karma caught up to me. Just logged onto a server with heaps of players, saw a helicopter fly overhead, then heard a load explosion. For a minute I thought this was going to be awesome, .... then suddenly I was dead... then every other player on the server seemed to die all at once too.... and some guy came over the audio apologising because whatever he did was all his fault... hackers, hackers and more hackers....

That's exactly what happened. It's actually not the first time that I have been teleported as I use a gun sight. It happened to me a few weeks ago, I found a sniper rifle, another AS50 now I think about it, but this one was on a dead guy in camo clothing, and every now and then when I lowered the sites I would find that I had changed locations. (although there was never any loot) It was very "Harry Potter" ;-) And Sheepdawg, I hear you buddy, I'm going to work real hard on my guilt management. WoooHooo! :-))

Is it possible to be banned for activity in game? I just had a weird thing happen where I got teleported to another part of the map and found a box with everything i could possibly want, including an AS50 with 15 rounds., range finder etc... Obviously I took it all ;-)

Found a CZ 550 in a barn and decided to try my hand a sniping, so I was sitting outside Cherno, looking at the roofs of a few buildings, when suddenly, as I right clicked to take my eye away from the rifle sights, I found myself in a different part of the map and next to me was a cardboard box containing an AS50 with 15 rounds, a GPS, night vision goggles, a gilly suit morphine, and just about everything else I could have asked for. So of course I took it all and now I'm "the man"! :-) Am I going to get banned for this? Have I been the unintended benefactor of some sort of hack gone wrong?

Hi guys, registering now. Pretty sure I fit the criteria. I.e. too old to be playing computer games ;-)

They do have melee. I found a crowbar last night. It sat in my rifle inventory slot. Worked well :-)

Pitch black is OK when overcast, but when stars are out we should be able to see a little bit. Eyes should adjust to the dark over time (pupils should open), but then when you light a flare or use a torch it should reset to pupils closed. There should be some sort of smell indicator so we can detect the stinky zombies when we get close. There should be some sort of vague direction indicator for sounds, so we can have some idea about where a zombie is when we can only hear them.

Personally, I find the complete darkness frustrating because it is so unrealistic. Fair enough, when it is overcast and raining, then it should be pitch black, but when it is a clear night and the stars are out, you should be able to see a little. I think it would be a beautiful addition to add a period of eye adjustment. I'm sure you have all been camping out in the bush away from any light and noticed how well your eyes adjust to the darkness after an hour or so.

I didn't know that I wasn't supposed to loot or kill, so I looted my arse off, but when I logged out and logged back in my loot was gone :-( I keep starting with nothing but a flashlight, and the zombies don't see me. I can walk right up to them and bump into them. Every fifth server (or so) seems to work like normal...

Some of the animals should also be zombies. Like in resident evil. Packs of Zombie dogs, flocks of zombie birds... crazed, psychotic zombie chickens... OK Maybe not, but definitely zombie dogs :-)
