Forum trolls, admins are supposed to hold evidence against bans. What would be the point of the Ban Appeals sub-forum if everyone just moved on?

Instead of being ignorant and all self-entitled, how about spending some time having a break from the game and having a bit of a read (and think, I know it's hard, try) about whats going on. Doing stuff takes time. Right now, of course the focus is not going to be directly on the mod. He finally managed to achieve his own little team inside an established development studio, sorting out the logistics for this alone is going to take a few weeks. Then, after months (possibly years) of wanting to pull apart the RV engine, he just got given the keys to the candy shop. I imagine he'll want to start messing around with that asap. Personally, I would not give a single F if the mod never evolved from here and all the time and effort went directly into the standalone game. But, I can see how still working on the mod is beneficial to the end product so glad that it will still be getting updates. Have a break from the game. Seriously, smashing your head against that brick wall isn't going to get it to move. Come back fresh and ready to try new things.

New content isn't going to bring us back (for long). Can't speak for everyone, but I'm guessing the majority of us are waiting till combat logging and duping are dealt with.

Imo, projectiles should only have a short KO time, melee based non-lethal's should be longer. So you can "stun" and then get in close and knockout. Not sure about being unlootable, handy, but definitely not in the "feel" of the game. Side thought: imagine if unconsciousness in game was actually a blackout? Imagine the anxiety of not knowing whether or not you were about to die...

Logic always wins. Dev member: No point in wiping database until hacking/duping is fixed Rocket: Hacking and duping cannot be fixed because of weaknesses in the Arma engine So one single big wipe probably won't happen any time soon. The game being in development should mean regular wipes should occur, but it seems the devs are too scared to do this because it would mean alot of people will stop playing. Even though they aren't the type of players the majority of the community would like to keep around they need data and numbers to make the standalone possible.

I have been thinking through an idea for a sleep mechanic, and I do like yours, but just a tiny bit of input, I'd like to see that when sleeping, blood count rises slowly, just as your body regenerates blood more efficiently as you sleep IRL. I like the idea of the "herd", but this is a maybe for me. I totally agree that zombies are too easy and toothless after you've played the game for any period of time.

Great idea, not everyone is in this just to kill other people. If I could knock that poor bastard out and drag his body into a bush rather than just ending his sad existence because he might find what I'm looking for before me, would be a much welcome change of gameplay. Takes more guts not to shoot-on-sight. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, though attitude (being a cock) isn't needed, wanted or warrented. Perhaps read the big giant sticky posts saying "Don't post global bans", and then you might realise... Regardless, Battleye don't reverse confirmed global bans. Irrespective of whether or not this was a private server. So good luck with that. You just bricked your client.

You do know you can respawn if you have broken legs, why not something like this. And I ignored that part because it's relevant. That part of the story is definitely not set in stone, as last I recall rocket is still working with his virologist brother to get something solid worked out. And noone is ever immune, who's to say the virus couldn't mutate. Otherwise what's the current infection/sickness getting around? Just a cold?

I decided to take a break from DayZ 3 weeks ago due to too much combat logging and desync kills (I'm fine one minute, then red chain appears the same time as things zip around my screen and I end up dead.). Sounds like I picked a good time, hearing alot of people are fed up over the last few weeks. So I'm actually just curious to see how many are persevering, and how many gave up and for what reasons. I'm not saying that I am giving up on the game, quite the contrary, I'm just waiting for things to settle down a bit. I'm still watching all the updates, paying attention to the forums etc. I love this game, but I don't like what other people are doing to it. Looking forward to seeing development of the standalone.

This has actually given me more faith in the playerbase than I was expecting. Yeah sure, mostly active players are going to be watching the forums but I thought there'd be more people in my boat despite that. Just goes to show how strong this game has affected people. Good show.

I'm actually going to jump into a few servers tonight to try and see if the hacking is a rife as everyone is saying. But I still consider myself to be on hiatus from DayZ, probably won't start playing properly till the standalone alpha is out.
