Have a chance to sit back and think, I agree about the multiple choice and I shall go ahead and change it (if it allows). So if you have already voted and wish to vote for others as well, feel free to delete and re-do your vote. I don't think it would skew the results as all changing it at this point. Some may still only choose one. -
I actually think less of reddit than I do bronies. Not for what they stand for, but what they do. Surprise surprise, not only redditors dislike the pony agenda.

Here's what I think the real problem is. The pony crap. Everyone has seen what a mockery the bronies make of themselves and everything else they seem to infect. Noone wants to see their serious game mockified by MLP bullshit. You probably would of gotten away with it all if you didn't include the brony reference.

Combat Timer in 1.7.5, Worse now than ever before.

I have zero issue with combat/logout timer. I just find it inconvenient that you have to be there to click the button after the logout timer expires. It would satisfy most of the arguments going on in here if you could click to initiate the logout timer and have it logout after timer expires while you are AFK. -
Sounds like he might be keeping true to his roots with the game, where it wasn't meant to be a game at all but a terrifying experience. And I'm all for that :]

My first thought playing the game shortly after the public mod alpha was released and getting hit by a zombie through a wall, (keep in mind with mods for games, usually alot of imagination is necessary because of the limitations of what the modder can do with the game), "holy shit! just like a zombie movie!" Tell me you haven't seen a zombie movie where the zombies can smash holes through doors/walls/windows and take swings at the victims. You don't see those people standing in front of windows or next to a plasterboard wall. I always accepted the damage through walls, in the standalone game I would expect animations of doors falling to pieces etc, but in a mod? Good luck implementing that lol. Edit: It was always said from the beginning that these aren't shambling "zombies" per se, but more infected people who just want to eat your face. So the superhuman speed/bullet dodging has always been fine. To be honest, I don't think we were ever meant to be able to out run these zombies, but due to limitations of Arma (no melee built in) attack animations forced them to pause and it just ended up that way.

So relieved to hear they aren't going to be rushing this anymore. As recent events have thought us, underdeveloped releases are bad. Just the few little tidbits he gives in the blog post opens up so many possibilities and ideas, I can just imagine the field day they've been having in brainstorming sessions. Damage to items, imagine being able to disarm someone by sniping their gun. Shooting someone in the back could damage meds or explode valuable beans. My mind is exploding with ideas. I can only imagine what they have in store for us with the inventory system, I've always envisioned some kind of thing where running solo you have to pull your bag off your back to put items in, or running in groups being able to grab items and shove them into your mates backpack on their back. Anyway, starting to go off on tangent. I finish by saying, although I haven't been playing the mod, my passion for the game hasn't waned. Take your time Rocket. We'll still be here :]

Alot of us knew that at the announcement of the standalone game, things would come to a grinding halt for at least a few months. I could imagine after the standalone is running, going back and working with the mod script instead of the standalone code would feel very redundant and a waste of time. In fact I do think any more work on the mod apart from testing the odd game mechanic is a waste of time. If there wasn't a single patch released for DayZ Mod from here on in, I'd be fine with that. Poll needs another option: "Rocket isn't working on dogs", or "Don't care, waiting for standalone" -

Awhile ago, every now and then someone would log in and have someone elses inventory, it was a common thing. Mates playing on the same server could even end up swapping with another mate. And then when you log out, it saves it under your ID. This shouldn't still be happening tho AFAIK, might be something bigger at play here, I'd recommend going here: http://support.dayzmod.com/ and making a ticket to let the guys know. They may even be able to fix it for you. Now be warned, this isn't going to be quick, the devs are always busy :S

Holy paragraph! And yes smasht is correct, tho with fog will reduce it even more. Apparently there are alot of other Arma maps with locked view distance. Makes for a much more balanced gameplay esp with the flying.

The Hive database used to have hiccups like this all the time, but didn't think it happened anymore. It could be something like that. Does it look like it could be an inventory you had at an earlier time? This used to happen alot to, database corruption so they roll back damaged portions. If you're careful about your security, I doubt it's someone with your key, because they usually get them banned pretty damn quick.

Dunno if you can do this on logitech software, but my macro is just a W downpress. That is, you make a normal no delay W press, and delete the "W UP". I can sprint like this. Tap W then macro and auto sprint! -

Here's a thought (pure fantasy, no way it would every come to fruition), everyone and I mean everyone has a long break from DayZ. Maybe a month or so. Go play Guild Wars, or Borderlands, w/e I don't care. Noone left to spooge over, skiddies get bored and move on, hackers don't see profit anymore in making DayZ scripts so stop making scripts/bypasses. I can dream can't I?
