What's funny is they made it so turning up your gamma does nothing now. :)

Fifth on the first thread!

What's sad is that I can't have that opinion without getting hated on or being called immature. Also, let's not forget suggestions of rape and menstrual cycles... because 'logic'. I don't want my game ruined by people who are so against something they know nothing about, when the concept actually sounds great. I'm not being pretentious. Dean said he wanted to create an anti-game. Part of that was to give the players tools, and let them do what they will with them. I'm not pretending here. I just feel it will add to the immersion of living in a fucked up apocalyptic wasteland. I don't want to have my hand held, or have things made easy. If a player chooses to inject me with shit or take a crap on my face, then that's just the type of world we live in. Here's the thing, I can choose to run away or just fight and die instead, so can others. This game is about choices. If you choose to be cuffed and fed shit, well damnit man, I would say that's on you, and not the makers of the game. On the other hand, there will be medics willing to make sure I don't die of fucking Cholera because some douche decided to feed me some feces, or maybe I forgot to boil my water. EDIT: As for Rape, I've been dragged into the wood in the mod and 'raped' and 'tortured'. I've also seen videos of large groups running trains on fresh spawns. All rping, but the intention is there nonetheless. So the people already have you covered on that one. No need for the devs to throw it in.

It's going to add so much to the medical system, which I am very much looking forward to. :) Woot!

Carebears win this thread. It's really all just hearsay and personal opinions on mechanics that aren't known yet. ie. knocking things before you try them... Time to remove force feeding disinfectant and rotten fruit as well. Just take out all the bad stuff because it offends people.
-
It's not a game though. It's an anti-game. Human interaction is the game. They are giving us the tools, and it's one big shit storm of an experiment. They don't have to account for anything that other people do with the tools they are given. They really don't. It's like that old saying: "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." Just because someone thinks having a crap in a game is okay because it opens vector's to disease, doesn't mean that they think rape is okay. If you, as a human being, put rape in the same category as taking a shit, then that's your PERSONAL OPINION. Don't make yourself into a carebear and take the fun away for other's based on a personal opinion. Especially for something in which the mechanics aren't even known. It could be something that potentially reduces KoS significantly, as an example. You never know...

Finally, someone gets it. I'm sure the same people getting upset in this thread will be the same ones complaining about having to measure blood pressure when it's implemented. That's all I can see. We can read between the lines. It ain't hard to tell who the PvPer's are. I've seen all the beans you gave in this thread.... That's because if someone like me actually gives a sound argument as to why it should be implemented, we all get dogged by all the types people you gave beans to. It's the hive mind at work, trying to sway all the other people who really don't see a problem with adding it. Meanwhile, we just don't see a point in arguing because not too many people on the one side you talk about are open to proper discussion. I haven't seen any really good arguments as to why it shouldn't be added. Just a bunch of people who seem personally offended, making stupid arguments, like adding women's menstrual cycles. Not a sound argument at all, just more of a personal grievance.

For something that has so much potential, both good and bad, it's sad to see so many people so vehemently against it. I think the factors it will bring into the survival aspect far outweigh the potential for abuse. The Ship had pissing and shitting, and it made things awesome! It's like when I'm trying to get my five year old son to eat something new. He says he won't like it, but always ends up liking it after just trying it once... Who knows, it may actually be a good thing, you just can't see it right now. I urge you to see the other side of the potential, not just 'shit flinging and poop cocktails'.
-
How is the potential for abuse any different from force feeding people rotten fruit or disinfectant? There isn't any difference. Same shit, different pile, as they say...

"We train young men to drop fire on people, but their commanders won't allow them to write "fuck" on their airplanes because it's obscene!" -Apocalypse Now

So we're basically going to be scared of dying from everything except the zombies, and staying healthy is going to fuck with group dynamics in a major way. A truly healthy team will be a rarity.

I think what he's saying is it's going to have something to do with the disease system, and having to deal with such things in well traveled areas. I hope it makes it in as well. EDIT: Updated with Smash's source.

I think some redditors caught you filming an episode:

It's all a learning process, and you must adapt and overcome if you want to extend your in game lives.

This game makes me swear and say 'friendly' a lot, so I compiled my excessive use of 'F' words into one fun video. [strong Language Warning!]
-
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Epic vid! You guys gave them a run for their money for sure. Watched the whole thing! Too bad their whole clan had duped gear.
-
'You can call me Arrow.', he said. He was a really cool guy. R.I.P. brother...
-
When I heard more shots as I ran back to the police station, I kind of figured Arrow had met his end. It was unfortunate, but I had to go back and try document it. Thanks for watching until the end. He was a good guy, and I never got his Steam name. I looked, and scouted, but they were long gone. Plus, I didn't have any bullets. I played for a good hour after that. Making my way further west. You just gotta keep moving.

Thanks. I took my time with this one, so I appreciate the great feedback!
-
I told him to run. He'd probably still be alive... Another bambi bites the dust.

It's not constructive because that's your angry opinion. Constructive feedback actually states qualms without being angry or saying 'Basically you are everything that's wrong with the DayZ community.'. I've seen much bigger assholes post their videos on Reddit for the simple fact they can be big assholes. This is mild.
