It's pretty much a placeholder, in the future items will be damaged based on where you got shot.

DayZ Civilian is a very old mod and died a while ago, same for a lot of the mods, they look very cool but before you try them you realize they died :(

Best sniping sports Dayz SA? Most populated town?

NEAF is probably the new most action packed airfield after this spawn change, and there is a small hill with a row of trees that is sort of a good spot for sniping to the west of it, and to the north-east of it there is a large hill with a big overview of the whole airfield but it is farther and it takes more skill to land a shot from there. Berezino doesn't seem to have a very good place to look over it, the hills north of it are too short to see most of it and the hospital is probably your best bet. -
What mac exactly do you have? I think what a lot of people are trying to say here is that most macs do not have the hardware power to play intensive games, which is true. In the end even if they got DayZ working for mac OS odds are it will not run on anything but the best(and most expensive) macs, and probably will not even run it WELL.

Because as far as I know the only Mac that even has the hardware to play something such as DayZ is the Mac Pro that costs $3000 at minimum(and has the power of a $800 custom built PC) Macs are just not meant for gaming, they are meant for work and casual computer/internet use.

It's a problem with your outdated Graphics, DayZ requires shader model 3.0 you must get a new graphics card to have it. But unfortunately even if your graphics card did have shader model 3.0 you would barely be able to run the game, your system would be held back by your CPU. I suggest either a massive upgrade or a whole new PC.

I would have died with honor, like a samurai. Probably not actually, but I would have at least tried to get them out of there instead of just ditching them. Also any gun can counter any gun if used properly, you probably had the upper hand if you were in close range as well so I don't see the problem there.

I don't see why any type of clothing makes anyone a bandit. Who says someone didn't just find an m4 and a payday mask but are really friendly as can be? -
1x Mosin 1x LRS scope 2x 20rnd stacks of 7.62 And a comfy spot on Balota sniper hill. Bring on the hate.

They nerfed the hell out of balota tents because it used to take 5 minutes to get all the best attachments for your M4.

I've only found one after frantically searching, found it in one of the few loot spawning buildings in the Balota tents. I know they say don't get attached to your gear but I think I'm gonna cry if I lose it. -

There's no way to get banned for having infinite ammo, that's why so many people do it. Nevertheless I'd just bury the body and pretend the game doesn't have any exploits. -

If rocket actually implemented a gun on spawn I would quit the game. For me it really takes out the survival aspect and basically says "This game is more focused on pvp than survival". Plus, you have your knockers. If you know how to use them those things can take out a geared player with a few punches to the face. -

They shouldn't try to make zombies harder whatsoever until they make them actual zombies, not buggy zig-zagging ghost chupacabras. -

I was planning on soley playing hardcore when I got DayZ but it seems like 1st person view in DayZ is even worse than in ArmA and it feels so clunky.

It's probably because without loot respawning, people restart their server much more than usual to get it to respawn. I've seen it restart hourly just to refresh loot.

I don't remember the mod ever being able to do this. If someone left their server on for days without restart it's going to have incredible amounts of desync and low fps.
