If it's anything like the original mod, vehicles will be a hard thing to find that are even harder to repair. Vehicles or not, DayZ will always involve a lot of running.

I think you mean crossfire, which is the SLI equivalent for AMD cards. I wouldn't suggest crossfiring two low end cards, it's a lot better just to put your money into a better card.

Are cross-platform servers confirmed? That would be completely unfair for the console players, they wouldn't stand a chance against anyone with a mouse and fair aiming capabilities even with aim assist.

Nice story, sounded like something out of an action movie. My most badass moment was probably when me and a friend armed ourselves with a Mosin and an SKS and one by one took out every single man in the NEAF, which was probably around 10 players. The G.I Joes always seem to think their kitted out M4 makes them invincible, which is very unfortunate for them.

The idea is that they will be added once they got the whole zombie navmesh thingie down and zombies are atleast somewhat normal. I often have sexual fantasies about the day that happens.

Agreed. I really miss vanilla dayz, now all the craze is about mods which are basically Wasteland with zombies.

The difference is NASCAR, Jenga, and kinky blindfold games all have rules, DayZ doesn't. The only thing that's cheating is the stuff that Battleye will ban you for.

EXCEPT it's not an unfair advantage, because EVERYONE has the option of doing it. That's like saying somebody who has a higher resolution than you and therefore can spot players easier is cheating and everyone needs to play at one set resolution. You have not even provided a reason for considering it as a cheat, and you act like we can't think of a valid response when all you can say is "Hurr Durr ITZ CHEting!!!!!11! U SHUld Know its WRONG!!!!" Looking over at the other player's ships in a game of Battleship is cheating, reading a guide on the effective tactics to defeat your enemy in Battleship beforehand is not cheating. They too have the option of reading that guide and learning from it.

Every player has the option of pulling up DayZDB. It doesn't give me an unfair advantage over other players. Now whether it ruins your hyper realistic immersive experience or not is a different question, but it's not cheating.

Suiciding for a good spawn is an option but I find it much more fun to try to make the best of the spawn I get. It's all about the journey to the end game. First thing I do when spawning is drop my flashlight and batteries, they just waste space. Normally I use roadsigns and stuff to figure out where I am and which direction to the nearest big town occasionally with the help of the DayZDB map. Since most spawns are limited to the north-east section of the map I do a run of Berezino-> Svetlojark -> Novo -> NEAF, the order depending on where exactly I spawned. Most of the time I die in one of those towns or end up stealth-killing some m4 kid blasting away at the fresh spawns. In fact, killing those people is probably the #1 method of getting geared. Since DayZ is in such an early state there isn't much more to do at that point and I usually end up logging off to go do other things.

I've heard a lot of people say that DayZ hates AMD processors, so that's probably it. It's really wierd because I have a worse processor and gpu( i5 2320 + 7770) and I maintain 50-60 FPS outside of cities and 25-40 in cities. Just another "alpher" thing, hopefully they will address this issue ASAP.

It would be great accompanying some kind of adrenaline system. A quick smoke would calm your nerves after being shot at, but not without the drawback of addiction and it would slowly make your character sick.
