That's sad if you don't respect a man because of how he chooses to play in a video game, especially since he isn't any sort of hacks or cheats. I believe that might actually create some epic game play if someone decides to try and stop the hueys.

Origins has a lot more than any other DayZ-variant, but Standalone will have more and be able to do way more because they can completely rework the engine and the game to make it suitable, while Origins will always just be a milsim with zombies and base building. Also, my commander says there are about 3.5k DayZ servers and only 1k Origins, Origins does not outnumber it the slightest. -

I would love a completely vanilla 1.7.6.1 private hive which I can play until 1.7.7.2 is out, one thing that really fucked up the game for me is a really easy to abuse bug that I won't mention what it is here, but now everyone is abusing and they are just as bad as the hackers. It's pretty dumb and its not even worth playing imo until they fix this bug. Edit: Standard DayZ servers aren't dead, simply tick hide unofficial on your commander and there are several DayZ servers that haven't been tweaked at all and are 100% Vanilla with 40+ players. -
I think it will be more possible to do this in Standalone, but it will still be very impossible even with less snipers and OP weapons people can just say they are friendly, and once they are in unload into everyone.

In most servers with maps you can set waypoints, the dayzdb + compass combination is a good tactic but a map is far superior for that reason.

I'm actually much better at driving and flying with 1st person, I suck at landing in third person and am forced to do it in first. Everything feels easier to control, and when I attempt to fly in 3rd person in normal ArmA II I end up murdering my whole team on the way to the battle.

Why must I swallow the whole entire box of my painkillers when a zombie scratches the head of my penis? How come when I get a disease, I eat the whole antibiotics pillbox as if it were a pack of nerds? I think antibiotics should not be made more common, but make them have multiple pills in the box that you can use, maybe up to 10, they might come with 1 or 2 if someone has already opened the box and used them. Painkillers should be made more rare but have multiple pills. Anyone agree? Edit: h3l1x has stated that this concept should be applied to other items such as matches which have multiple uses in real life, and I completely agree so I'm changing my suggestion. For some reason I can't really use BBcode on this forum. Similar for antibiotics, you have to take a course of 6 pills, one every ten minutes before you cure the infection, no more insta cure. The difficulty would be conveying this mechanic to the player, Painkillers wouldn't be so hard, when the time comes to take the pills again you start shaking again. For antibiotics a simple way would be to actually not allow spam consumption and have a message pop up saying you can not take the pill yet, wait (X amount) minutes. a more subtle way, would be to have the infection fuzz around the blood icon become more subdued when a pill is taken but not go away completely and then become fully "fuzzed" again after 10 minutes, or it could just effect the frequency that your character coughs.

Once me and a group of fully geared men ran across the NWAF runway in a diamond formation, shooting our guns in the air and throwing smoke grenades. It was on a 50 man server, and we still managed to get across without even being shot at. We later found out that there was in fact people at NWAF who didn't kill us because of pure respect.

I doubt you'll be spawning with a map in Standalone, and from what I heard at first there's only gonna be vanilla public hive servers but later on people will be able to host their own servers, so if someone decided to host an all day server then yes.

Really depends where you spawn and where you go, if you spawn at Kamenka and run off into the wilderness you're probably not gonna have a map for a long time unless you're lucky enough to find one at Zelenogorsk or Vybor. But if you loot the coast cities (Cherno/Elektro) odds are you're going to leave with a map or at least a compass, a compass is good enough until you can manage to find one. Keep in mind you can find them in sheds and small houses, not only pubs and groceries. Look everywhere for one.

Sadly you cannot transfer your progress to the other copy of it, but you can download the same version on that computer with the same CD key. -
Yes, but one pain pill should be enough to fix that. I don't think it's really health to ingest a whole box of pills.

These Green Mountain stories are really getting old, it's just a place that may or may not have vehicles and might spawn something good in the radio tower.

I think it would be a cool idea, it seems like a low priority suggestion but it makes a lot of sense if you think about it. Players can tell how long you've been alive if they see you're hairy as fuck, and thus making you a target because it means you have better gear. I think it would be cool if every day you survive you gain a little bit more hair on your face and head. Ofc it would be able to be cut like OP said.

I don't "Want to kill people" I mainly don't even play as a bandit, only when I'm bored and not playing on the official hive. I only have so much time to play DayZ and I don't want to spend all day executing some devious plan -
