I dont understand why there is no AUTO RUN KEY!!!
plexico replied to Bohannan (DayZ)'s topic in Suggestions
Auto running never works out for me, I use the bathroom expecting to have gone 500+ meters by the time I get back, and only find myself running into a fence a mere 20 meters from where I came from. -
Yes, and if someone is added to the douchebag list you should be able to find a douchebag-tracker and track any douchebags at any time, it will even tell you what server they are on.

I don't think Dean wants it to be "easy" to get around the map. He's going in the direction of a survival simulator, and in real life you can't just tell your legs to keep on moving while you take a nap or something. I'm not sure how I feel about that feature, but if it was in the game I guess it wouldn't be a huge deal. -
Since when it is a law? I always thought ERSB ratings were a suggestion.

The 7750 is significantly worse than the 7770. There is no point in crossfiring low end cards, if he wants more performance in the future the best choice will be to buy a higher end card. Op, you're gonna need an operating system with that if you don't already have a spare one, it will add another hundred to the cost.

It's all opinion. There are many different types of mods, some have a lot of players, some have few players, some are based on pvp, some are based on pve. If you want to build bases and get money in a wierd zombie apocalypse economy then go ahead and try DayZ Epoch. This mod is on many maps, not only Chernarus. If you want to find gear quick and kill people I would suggest DayZ Overwatch, basically a ton of guns were ported into it and they added self blood bagging. If you want the closest thing the DayZ mod can offer to real survival, I suggest Vanilla DayZ and playing on public hive servers that can be identified by the country then a series of numbers (i.e US 3480).

Why does everyone flip out whenever someone has a problem with the game and post "ITS ALPHA DUMBASS". You would be pissed too if you spent $30 and the game doesn't even let you play at all.

psychological effects of banditry

I wonder how I knew what this topic was going to be about before I even clicked it. Maybe it's because this is posted every other day and every time it is shot down. -
I would love usable chess sets, I don't know about the guitar though.

Will this work as a general gaming pc?
plexico replied to neilsoon's topic in Technology/Programming
I would suggest getting a cx500 or 600, so you can build upon it more in the future. A cx430 will suffice for the initial build but when you need to upgrade to play future games you will have to get a new PSU. The tahiti LE is a very good card, you should be able to play most games at high-ultra settings with good FPS, and for ArmA and DayZ probably lower. The motherboard is also a very good choice for the CPU that you have. -
People don't buy 120HZ monitors to flaunt their richness. There is very well a difference between 30 and 60, and 60 and 120. To the OP: The game has yet to be optimized, so expect unplayable low frame rates during alpha.

If the mod has taught me anything, it is that no matter how good your hiding place is it will be found, usually within a week of when you first set it up. Chernarus is big but not big enough to have a long term base.

Cool story.

Yup, I have met quiet a few friendly players. I don't know why everyone says there is no friendlies.

I prefer first-person only servers, but I don't think anyone should be forced to a certain play style. How would you feel if it was the other way around, and people were trying to get it third-person only?

It was funny at first...Also minor suggestion

Also saved you from having any real combat experiences where the odds weren't in your favor. I hope you have fun once they implement an anti-logging system. -
Horrible FPS in Dubky - is this normal ?
plexico replied to Spidey (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
I think your computer specs would be helpful in this situation. -
Believe it or not this same thing has been suggested countless times, and it has been agreed upon by the regulars of this forum that it does not fit in DayZ.

Ethernet is best for gaming, wifi isn't recommended.

I mean.. it's really his fault for letting a guy with fists take him down when he was armed. He learned a lesson that day.

Boo hoo, he picked up a rifle and shot at some guys. It's a video game, he can do what he wants. Target practice can be fun, he's not "ruining the community". You guys are acting like he did this in real life. The fear of being shot with a Mosin out of nowhere adds to this game. How about we all just make a camp fire in the middle of Balota and sing campfire songs. PS: His shooting skills aren't bad at all. He got most of them in 1-2 shots, a lot of you guys like to talk as if you never miss but in reality most DayZ players can't hit a target from 10m away without emptying their whole clip.

Thinking of getting new computer for Dayz and the standalone.
plexico replied to 888min2's topic in Technology/Programming
The man clearly said he was thinking of building it :) Pre-built PCs are overpriced junk, if he builds it him self $650-$785 will get him what he wants. This build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Plexico/saved/3epp should get you great FPS on great graphics once they optimize the game. It's about $750. It would be best to research the exact PC you want and learn what is best instead of trusting a random dude on a forum though. -
