    its not about your character or gear - this isnt world of warcraft......... Its about your experience along the way and the stuff that happened. Starting over is the most fun you could have. Forget about keeping any gear. Ive had the best gear in game and kept it for too long. The best experiances and most fun ive had happen at the start. The sooner you get out of the mentality about what gear you have etc the better. There are no END GAME RAID Instances where you need Gillie suits, Range Finger, AS50s M4A1 SD's to enter to get even better gear.

    Let me elaborate for you guys. trust me its going on everywhere, alot of them are discrete about it. Only if the hacker is being an absolute cretin, like teleporting you, or killing you directly is the only time its going to effect you. And that is the only time you will notice it. YOU wont for example see him spawn a weapon crate. See him give himself all the gear. See his vehicle radar or players, see him run directly from vehicle to vehicle or camp to camp. Your not going to notice that, its not like on a Counter-Strike server where it is obvious he is using a wallhack or speed hack. If you ran a server you would be saying completely the opposite to your post.

    make sure anyother joystick or game pad is unplugged. i have this problem when i leave my G27 plugged in

    why not just give every player all the script kiddie options . I mean let the rest of the 20% of the people that actualy play the game without hacks, give them the option to give themselves all the gear, to teleport, to kill anyone at the click of a button. why not?

    anyone doing anything even remotely close to hack gets you a ban. if you run around with a hacked weapon you will be banned end of. fed up with the constant hacking from so many people that cant even play this mod that they have to hack. If you run around with a hacked gun YOUR just as bad and you will get a big fat ban. All your doing is promoting hacking.

    yeah have to agree, several times some script kidy has come onto the server and teleported every vehicle to a certain location, killed everyone etc right now the game isnt playable at all.

    Hacks are back and rife again I wonder how many people are using those hacks where u can see every person, vehicle and tent on the map. Its alittle strange that my clans 3 camps which were West, North and North East on the map - had been there for over 5weeks and then all 3 of them are raided in the same day. Vehicles all shot up, the tents came back on a restart, 1 ATV was stolen no other vehicles. Using hacks i guess has hit its peak in this game and everyone is doing it, you might aswell to level the playing field. It sucks, game gets worse the more people that play it.

    100% that picture is too small and doesnt help at all. You should be able to click ok from that screen and load into the game. The fact that your there tho on that screen to me tells me its something your end and internet related. Firewall, Router something like that. What firewall do you use, is ArmAII Beta allowed thru it fully? tried reseting your router? restart windows etc. My guess would be your firewall or something though.

    stuff you say. dayz isnt about stuff its the experiance and situations u get into along the way. forget about stuff, forget about loot. this isnt world of warcraft why are you treating it as such. stuff is just a back drop, something to do. forget about stuff. dont get too attatched to stuff. YOUR DOING IT WRONG

    if you suspect them of hacking. BAN them especialy if you tracert there IP back to Russia. so many russian hackers weve had on our server anyone connects from russia they get an instant BAN. Fucked it for the lot of em. If you dont like it you can 0121 do 1

    if you logged off in mid air when you login you will be on the ground again. you cant login mid-air its not possible. p.s forget about the loot for christ sake. forget about whatever gear you have. This isnt World Of Warcraft. This is DayZ . When you spawn again treat the game like your already dead. Sooner or later your going to die. FACT.

    chances are it will return to where it is on a restart. same thing happened to my team. we had to push it all the way out using an ATV -yeah it must be entirely flat where you park da chopa

    So if dayZ is fully integrated into ArmA II does that mean it will be compatible with ACE mod ? for the weapon sounds, wind etc Or is that not possible ? It would be good the ACE mod rocks

    Used to be before the latest patch if you dissconnected as soon as you got teleported and joined another server - you would be back in your original place with all your gear. Happened to me the other day and my friends everyone got given the hacked gear AS-50 range finder, NV, coyote M4A1 CCO SD in backpack etc but relogged and still had all the gear :S Something must of changed with the hack or server side because it seems to save it all now which is gay even if you get teleported to some random island in the middle of the sea

    cool thanks for the replies. Just it seemed to work fine with the SP version of dayZ when i tested it - which was an early version of the mod. Pre 1.6 But i guess because of the sound it could easily mess with it and would require even more work to integrate. ACE adds alot of nice features - Maybe because both are great mods i guess we could only dream of a collaberation to get a special ACE dayz version - even with the sound ripped out :) Would be nice oh well
