Cyanide (DayZ)

I was bleeding near Polana without any bandages or rags and the game was already grey.. so I went to these guys' website and connected to their TS. The minute I was in, one of their members contacted me and started making his way to me. He (Christopher) gave me some kind of medicine (I forget what it's called.. IV bag or something) and told me to eat and drink a bunch. Did that.. a lot.. and basically he was trying to get me into "healthy" status, but no matter how much I ate and drank, I didn't get it. I think we spent atleast an hour trying to figure it out but I think on Hardcore servers your health status doesn't show or something. Bottom line is, he went out of his way to stop my bleeding and I think I got my colours (blood) back aswell, though it was night so hard to check. Oh and he gave me a shotty with some shells because it took so long :D I didn't mind it one bit but appreciate it nonetheless :] Very satisfied :D really enjoyed the experience and really, really appreciate the time and effort you guys put into helping others survive! Hm I hope so.. Weird though, I usually play with a group of people and Ive never seen anyone's char spaz out like he did. The server was very stable at the time and I hardly had any desync myself.

Client-side hitbox? Your machine tells the server the zombie was shot (because it was on your screen). Server side would result in players shooting the crap out of zombies' date=' and the server says they missed, and the zombie nibbles on you because you have 'Lag aim'. If im not mistaken ping doesn't affect your gameplay because of server-side hitbox detection or something. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I love the night as it is. Maybe its a good idea to disable the gamma/brightness options on some hardcore servers because some can see more clearly at night than others because of it. Last night I was running through a pitch-black forrest whilst not knowing in which direction I was going (it was very cloudy). Stopping every 10meters or so to turn on my flashlight and look around me. That was extremely exhilarating. I can only imagine playing like that with friends.. that'd be so intense :]
