Yes of course... I think official servers be realism and hives have a option to make easy mode. but of course always still keeping the basics of what Dayz is about. Survival game.

Really this idea was spun off of Rising Sun. Realism mode being a lot more tactical and difficult. With the casual mode still having realism in it but a lot more action oriented.

I actually quit playing the mod. I'm to exited for the SA. Arma 3 is fantastic! pick it up its totally worth it!

Some sort of meter i think is needed. Like op said "moral meter" or a "comfort meter" Eating better foods and staying out of the cold should be factors. Idea is not stupid. I dig it!

should be some sort of reward for eating more nutritious food. Like not get hungry as fast and regen blood faster

Never played a "non pvp" server. I think its a joke. Just doesn't fit with all the other things.

IMO one should not be able to carry more than one rifle.

Walk into grocery store in Berez no loot. Run outside and take a lap around apartment buildings. fixed.

Do away with bases. Boarding up a house or something of that nature would be sweet. Sometimes i want to eat my beans in peace.

Just in case people have forgotten this is a Zombie survival game. so burning meat imo is a nono. Only thing i would suggest food wise is the better you eat the more healthy you are. Cooked meats, beans, and MRE's would have your character a bit more sharper. (sprinting for a little longer, doesn't get thirsty/hungry easily, better chance to overcome blood loss/infection on its own) compared to the guy drinking soda and eating candy bars. Really the question would be should stuff like this affect combat? I think some one well fed, rested, and healthy should get the drop on some one scrambling around on the ground in electro licking the bottom of tin cans.

Yes Dayz Commander is a must. I would personally get familiar with Vanila Dayz servers Then when you are comfy check out some private hives. Private Hives tend to be a lot more "gamey" these servers have LOADS of vehicles and bunches of other added things, check em out here http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/forum/64-private-hive-discussion/ Remember your character will keep everything when switching in between official servers. Private hives or unofficial servers your character and gear stay exclusively on that one server. PM me if you have any problems.

My laptop is 2.4ghz. fucking thing heats up and ruins my drinks all the time that i have sitting next to me while gaming.

agreed on everything but #2. If people want to get together on a server and sing kumbaya let em, not as bad has admin abuse or hackers.

So i have been playing for a month or so. And i really just have been sticking with vanilla Dayz servers and a few private hives. Am i missing out on a whole other experience with Origins and some of the other dayz mods? Should i just stick with OG mod till SA comes out? I just downloaded Origins via Dayz Commander, and have not been able to find a server yet to let me on. Is the troubleshooting worth it? thanks for the input!

I would like to see zombies in ARMA 3. Maybe not Dayz but some sort of zombie thing would be neat. I personally am going to sink my teeth in the SA and uninstall arma 2/Dayz mod.

yeah out with the skins. Realistically a bandit or hero could dress however they want.
