Play the ARMA 2 campaign. Training and bootcamp are nice to familiarize your self with the different types of weapons. little thing you go through and gives you targets. Using a sniper rifle look up on how to zero your weapon in. I was a mediocre shot to begin with. I played a bit of ARMA 3. Wasteland, Invade annex, and the scenarios. My aim is deadly now. Shooting in this game is alot different than COD or battlefield. Dayz is a little less responsive. Edit** Also patience is key. before you run around sit in the bushes and scout the area. If you want to practice with in Dayz join a empty server and practice on Zeds.

This. 50 cals are great and all.. but every one having one is a bit unrealistic. If this is implemented i wouldn't mind your occasion camper in ele.

Commander is a absolute must. I actually didn't use it when i first started but when it comes down to other mods and rolling back its totally the way to go.

How so? If people don't want to play on Vanilla servers then why should they? If people want a casual experience then let them. Give the people what they want. People want sex, drugs, fast cars, and AS150's. -

Cool story. If you dont like it dont play on it. I personally play on vanilla servers. I still have loads of fun joining random hives once in a while. I like a more casual experience here and there. Think about it, If private hives were stale nobody would join them. They would be non existent. -

to be honest. Pay to win is god awful. "extreme pvp" just sounds gross. -
you and all your gear is lootable by enemies when you are playing dead.

friendly fire is a thing. it should be a thing in Dayz. just talk to the person and get organised. if you and your buddies are running around like chickens with their heads cut off then you deserve to get shot. i believe they are gonna add wild life, i just hope that wildlife is a rare thing to come across. If every time i venture out into the forest i come across 3 bears that would be unrealistic. Maybe have one Bear spawn. And it attacks players! and give players something to do.

hotkey camera change and reap the benefits if you a first person kind of guy. problem solved. i personally think 3rd person gives a more fluid feel to the game. getting to see everything around you and being more aware of your surroundings i feel is key. first person is sloppy, specially when it comes to Dayz with zombies crazy run directions. -
i agree. I hate walking. I think there would be a unrealistic amount of bicycles laying round, plus it means play safer if you don't want that long walk on the beach. I think it weeds out all the 10 year olds that want to 360 quick scope n00bs off of cherno firehouse.

a gunshot would scare away any animal. also seeing such animals should be rare.

well of course i love fast running zeds. but the gameplay in mod is just so choppy. i would have just as much fun with slow zombies. i think it would flow alot better. if Z's are fast running in the SA and actually work i would be happy.

i like the idea of slow zombies. Definitely be more deadly. Maybe have your walkers, crawlers, and your occasional fast walking zed. running fast is great but in current mod gameplay is just so sloppy because they are running around more like meth heads than infected.

Your Xbox would explode. but maybe somewhere down the line it will hit the CONSOLES. if anything the PS4. Alpha hasn't even came out yet.

Its a mod for Arma 2 So its going to have bugs out the waazoo no madder what. The SA will be its own thing and mentioned things should be fixed.

Great find. should be legit. I have abandoned vehicles with more before. mainly because i play by myself and don't need 20 m16's -
I would like to see supplies in bulk. like literally a crate with 60 cans of beans. People would kill for it. share it. trade it. take it all to the forest and get fat. Maybe even a weapon cache with 20 something guns. no ammo. a crate of of AK's would be interesting. of course be rare. and it a great pain to get it all for your self. faced with a situation to take what you can carry and make trips like one would in a realistic situation.
