25% of my deaths are from zeds 25% from players and 50% from silly glitches and bugs. i just learn to take it easy and slow when messing around with ladders or going into building with zombies chasing me. kinda got use to all the bugs and stuff and i work around it and they don't affect me as much as they did when i started. like walking in fire houses is smart. also if zombies are in walls just run away. OP i don't think there could be a patch in this world to fix the obvious bugs in Dayz mod. Arma wasn't designed for a zombie survival game. Dayz is a mod and can only do so much! StandAlone is gonna be sweet!

Maybe some foods will have a snack option like trail mix. your hunger slowly goes up as time goes by as long there is snack left. and you can stop and start it same goes with water. so instead of eating and drinking instantly you slowly use up item till its depleted.

when i decided i wanted a gillie suit i looked online where to find one. Said in residential loot spawns and sometimes in the Castle areas. very low chance. alt tab back into game. found one in first random house i walk into in Kamenka. :lol: good luck man! from the stories i hear better just play the game and you might get lucky if you stumble across one. iv'e also seen one at a heli crash. remember if you die you will lose it! Some servers have that take cloths mod tho!

yeah good idea to just have everything fixed. but if you find a chopper i believe you can fly with it as long as the rotor and engine aren't red. but i recommend just getting it to safety to repair. full green chopper can last for about a hour or so. until you need gas. then that when the bull shit starts happening.... landing to hard, zombies aggro why trying refuel, bandits, bugs, ect.

servers sound awesome is there only AI in said places? How are the cars on the server? like are there a decent amount on the coast to fix up or are they all up North?

i had the same problem. i have to right click on Dayz mod and hit play with beta patch.

i actually think there should be abundance cars. make fuel a precious resource. if you like the "PVP" aspect of Dayz i suggest just playing Arma2

Tried looking for related threads, so if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great! but here is my suggestion. i would love to see some sort of account system so you can log in and play from different computers. so you could basically pick up where you left off if you log in on a different system. if anyone could throw me a link to a discussion about this! Absolutely love this post. but still... next gen consoles look pretty sweet and a console version would be great. sorta like minecraft. Xbox version although watered down is still pretty fun.

i believe they should make 50 cals extremely rare and ammo scarce. some kinda advance recoil system. basically make it where you have only one shot then after that it would take you a couple mins to set up for another. getting back to OP. everyone should check out that sniper episode on "surviving the cut" its on netflix.

rofl.. yet another pointless thread about sniping in a video game. Some think it should be EZ mode and some think it should be rocket science. both IMO are wrong. should be a sweet spot right in the middle. and i think ARMA has captured that.

Would be cool if you can make offline worlds like minecraft. have a hardcore mode.

I would love to some kinda system to choose who you spawn as and start with different equipment.(and of course servers could customise it) For instance you can choose to spawn as a civilian and start off with a pistol and a semi working car and a great food supply. Maybe spawn has a solder and start off with a military weapon and limited food. ( different types of solders like a sniper, paratrooper, infantry man, medic, and have supplies adjusted) maybe a local farmer? And start off at a farm. maybe a local mechanic? only problem i forsee is everyone spawning as a sniper or something stupid but thats where the server admins can come in customise stuff and just take the function out completely and every one start off as a civilian on the coast. for example adjust snipers to spawn with a rifle but no ammo and in the middle of nowhere. I think would add a realistic feel to it. the possibilities of having to interact with different players and trading services. for example; a civilian drives down the coast and encounters a soldier spawn walking could give him a lift and have a solder protection, or could leave him in the dust. this might be a old suggestion or already implemented on servers, i just started playing a week ago. might be good for business to. them long walks on the beach after a death is frustrating for new comers and i think scares people away from the game. i'm pretty new to this game. only bad thing about it is i didn't start playing it sooner.
