UPDATED 8/23 (11:AM) Back up at 100% and ready to trade like crazy! Found another M4A1, M24, some jerry cans, sandbags... TRADE ON!!!! (Side note: Got a heli ride down to Elektro so if anyone's interested in meeting up there or if Berezino was initially too far, now's your chance!)

I started running a "trading company" and noticed that it seemed like there weren't a ton more people doing it... which I guess kind of surprised me. So it got me thinking... Do people trade in DayZ? If so, why were you drawn to it? If not... why not? If you were to trade with someone, what is that "URRMRRGRRD, I have to have that!!!" item that you would want to trade almost anything you had for? Just curious... so far trading has been (for me) a great way to meet new people on DayZ and it fits my survivor/pseudo-hero personalty pretty well so far. Just wondering what the public opinion is on trading in general, I guess. -

Ok... that gives you quite a bit more time than I originally had thought. I thought that you'd be dead in like 10 minutes or so. So by that math, it seems like you'd run out of food/water before you'd run out of blood... jah? -

I've used M24's, SVD's, etc as well as ACOG assault rifles with no issues... but the G36K Camo regular scope (not the red dot) always introduces an INCREDIBLE amount of lag when I use it... it's really unusable. The red dot/crosshairs function completely fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a gun-specific bug? I've tried lowering the video settings to see if that makes any difference... nada.

UPDATED 8/21 (9:45AM) Got gunned down by a hacker/script kiddy last night (gunned down by full auto machine gun 10 sec after spawning in a VERY remote location with only 3 players on server) and lost all the gear on me while on route to a trade, but at least I was able to contact the admin of the server who promptly investigated the situation and banned the offending player(s) from their server. BRAVO for awesome admins!!!! Slight drop in inventory because of this, but no worries... I'll be gearing up in Cherno and back up north in no time at all! Business as usual... let's get trading!!!

G36K Camo Scope Lag

So, not really sure what the issue is. All of the textures show properly, I've got a GTX 570 w/ 1GB of RAM and the boot drive is a 256GB Crucial SSD. I've turned down a bunch of settings to help when I'm looting choppers (nice little trick to be able to see things on the ground a little bit easier) but as soon as I pop on that G36K ACOG-style scope, it's like my FPS drops from 40 to 12. -
Do you have any of the following.... FN FAL AN/PVS-4 M4A1 CCO SD M40A3 MK48 MOD 0 Would prefer to get a mag or two/ea. with whatever you have available. Let me know if you do and we can set up a trade.

I'll check that out, for sure. Thanks for doing a search on my behalf... I guess I didn't really know what I should be looking for in this case. I've reset it to default after trying to customize the settings (and having it fail horribly, ha ha) and default does seem to work the best. In any other case, I'm running a GTX 570 with 1GB DDR5. I was just surprised since it ONLY affected this gun... I guess with the zoom on the M24 I thought it would have affected that as well. -
UPDATED 8/18 (10:45PM EST) Added M249 SAW + 2 Belts of ammo for it... + 2 M203 Grenades

Updated 8/15 (11pm EST) Uh oh... someone didn't hide their (admittedly small) base very well! Picked up another M24 + DMR... and a couple of TENTS!!! Looks like I'll be sleeping well tonight!

DayZ Vanilla Public Hive-Trading 4 boxes (400 rounds) of M240 ammo, a DMR or M24, and a G36A camo.

Update 8/15 (7:15am) Ain't nobody gonna keep me down! Sad to see the Holo disappear, but got some new toys in the meantime! (Added M24/G36K Camo/more ammo)
