    Thanks. I should probably add that I kept most of my gear except for a jerry can that I had.

    This is just something that I have been wondering because I haven't found anything on this after searching. I'm new at the game but I recently got on a good run and have decent gear now for a beginner (DMR, some medical supplies and a large backpack) and found a nice place to lie low in the woods (with a tent). The next day when I logged into the server (Public hive) I wound up on the beach in Elektro. I've been online during server resets before and just started right off where I was at before. Why did the game respawn me if I didn't die and I'm joining the same public hive server? The same thing has happened to my friend who was on there with me (next time he logged in he was at a respawn point).
