Is this variation between hipfire point of aim and iron sight point of aim present in FPV as well? I use hipfire on anything within 30 meters and into sights/optics for anything beyond that, so I have never noticed this phenomenon.

The coast is a great place to earn yourself an assault rifle. Earned myself an M4 in elektro just the other day. Good read. Beans.

Most dupers that I kill are pretty bad. Usually holed up in some two-story green/red death trap in elektro or berezino. Had a run in with three such players just the other day. With a pump shotgun, a longhorn, and a Mosin we confronted, baited, and murdered all 3 of them with 0 casualties. One had an M4 and frags and mags all neatly sorted in his 6 protector cases. The other had an AKM with 5 drums. The last had a Mosin and a completely decked out MP5 with 5 mags. We had all been fresh spawns coming down the coast when we entered elektro. We beat feet out of town with big guns on our backs and bigger grins on our faces. Most players I kill geared like this don't put up much of a fight. Metagaming/exploiting will only get you so far.

Killed a guy the other day in elektro with my trusty longhorn+blaze and earned myself a fully kitted M4 with a half dozen 60 mags and protector cases. I'm almost too paranoid to log in now... -
What if you kill the guy that killed you? You can't use it still?

Part of the fun is not being able to fully trust anyone you meet in game. I will always keep my weapon in hand and my head on a swivel when I'm with a stranger, whether they appear/act friendly or not. Learn to protect yourself within the parameters of the game, don't expect the game to change for your own sense of security.

But then players in groups have another advantage over those that play alone. "Yo, unload my body. I'll be there in 20" Player doesn't need to access body to retrieve gear* "Shit, I just died and have no friends around. Guess I have to start over. When considering gameplay mechanics, you have to remember that gamers will meta/exploit the game to death if given the opportunity. The current mechanic isn't pretty, but hopefully it's not the intended final product. Alpha and such.

5,000 items...? Can you imagine stumbling upon that guy and killing him? You'd be digging through his stuff for an eternity. What could you possibly need after even 100 items? Or was each individual round included in this count?

I tested it briefly. Quite accurate. And the fact that we can pack it into our...pack is quite nifty. And not needing a mag makes it a good alternative to the sporter.

Umm your spirit will fight to survive? Idk. You also shouldn't be able to hail your friends through TS to come rescue you, but it's a game. I feel like sitting there mashing keys on your keyboard staring at a black screen would be more intense than idly waiting for something to happen. -

In the mod we had an hourglass of sorts that showed us how long we had until we would awake again. Maybe a button mashing mechanic similar to breaking free from bondage to make us wake up faster? Idk. -

Since you're all here, I was meaning to clarify something I saw in a wobo video yesterday. In his AK74 guide, he compares ak74 range and accuracy with and without the PSO scope attached. I have been under the impression that the AK74 could NOT take the PSO. Was I wrong?

I found both a PU and and LRS in krasnostav today, so they're definitely still attainable. Try hitting town that are not high traffic areas if you want to find uncommon items like these. They spawn in almost every town, so you just need to hit enough run of the mill towns until you find one. Best of luck to you

The community's view of being able to respawn while unconscious?

I spent an hour beating other prisoners and roleplaying a broken man, desperate to survive. Because I was so entertaining for my captors, they ended up letting me live. That character's survival is worth more to me now because he survived that ordeal. Yes, my captors easily could have shot me in the head despite my efforts. But, because they didn't, and because I didn't log out when I was first restrained, my character has a unique story. Whether or not the game should implement a timer to "force" these interactions is an interesting question indeed. While two to three minutes doesn't sound too punishing, a chain of 2 minute blackouts over an hour sounds like it would get old quickly. Maybe an option after the third blackout to "give up" would help players avoid being griefed endlessly. This whole, "don't get attached to your gear/character" mentality takes away from the experience. That attachment is what causes tension and makes for heart pounding situations. -

But in this case it would seem he was stalling for backup, and his 30 minutes of kindness earned him an easy kill. You can be nice and play froendly, but lowering your guard is death.

Have AKM with two drums and two thirty round mags. I wanna trade it for an aug or an M4 with mags. PM me if interested.

Just be glad you aren't trying to get your hands on an M4 with all of its parts.

I wasn't referring to the forest or adding more towns. I mean infected. Why would we jog from town to town right now when there are only 4 things to "interact" with? We'd kill those 4, maybe loot, and then jog 10 minutes to the next town. If there were 100 infected per town, and 100 players per server, what you are suggesting would be appropriate. But it is not as the game stands currently.

No? That would not affect pvp at all and would only slow down travel across the map; further exacerbating the current issue of coastal camping in lieu of exploring the map. The issue is how quickly we can dash and pivet. It will be fixed later. But the running speed and agility won't be fixed until zombies are implemented I would think. Simply put, the map is too big and empty right now.
