Idk if you played the mod when sepsis and infection were fully implemented, Irish, but do you remember how much rage splattered across this forum? "This isn't even fun anymore when I have to find antibiotics every 30 minutes to survive" "With this infection mechanic keeping your character alive is pointless. Might as well suicide in a bush and come back for the gear." People whine when first confronted with a change in the status quo; especially when it challenges their capabilities. This community is populated by spoiled boys with expensive computers and they know how to whine. But within a few weeks everyone adapted to the changes and shut the fuck up with their incessant whining. Mark my words, every addition to the alpha that makes the game more difficult or challenging or "annoying" (my favorite) will be greeted with tears and rage. Thankfully the developers aren't their spineless parents, and their cries will be ignored as they were by razor and co. Btw, I share your joy for forum-update-tears from those less willing to adapt :) -
If you want to really feel like a ninja, punch players with your fists one time when they aren't watching and then run to cover before they can react fast enough to see you (only tried this on hardcore. Might not work on regular). You'll feel like a total boss when they start yelling blindly in your direction with no idea where you are or what you are going to do next. It was better with throwable cans and bottles in the mod but punches work too.

Persistent storage promotes kos no matter how you do it. If you can run back to camp and grab another pack with a rifle you have nothing to lose. What do you do when you have nothing to lose? Kill guys who do.

Good for you for actually playing the game and finding creative places to build your survival arsenal. But this idea wasn't aimed at players like you. I was thinking more about the players that don't know how to navigate off of the coast and won't learn to do so until it's necessary to survive. If fresh spawns can always get those essentials at coastal towns, they will never leave the coast. As is the case currently.

It'll be interesting to see how the server hoppers cope with the new zeds when fire axe spawn rates drop and they're forced to resort to 2+ hit to kill weapons. I'm getting thirsty just thinking about all of the tears. Anyone else remember when 1.7 landed in the mod? So much rage :) -
And when loot is respawning dynamically across the map and not in the same 3 fire stations on the coast over and over, finding firearms will be more difficult and it won't reward server hoppers as the current system does. Give it time, lads.

Turn your clouds on. I noticed this problem as well when dusk rolled in and I had my clouds disabled. -

M4 is plenty accurate on semi-auto. Hold breath point and click. And full auto provides best suppressing fire in game. What needs improvement? -

I don't understand why y'all even bother carrying 2 primary weapons. In addition to ammo taking up more space in your pack, the haste of picking up and dropping your weapon everytime you need to do anything other than shooting seems like more trouble than it's worth. I can't imagine a situation in which a primary weapon and a powerful sidearm wouldn't be adequate firepower. Just seems like hoarding to me...

I have lost any shred of faith that I had left for this forum's community. I say, "let's not explain how to exploit the game with the weapon dupe. Doing so will only make the problem worse". And then 4 people after me do just that... And then more people in the same thread argue that looting low population servers is the only way to find loot... With a public hive, privately operated servers, and a community that always chooses the fast and easy route to "success", this game is doomed. Unless the devs start actually implementing some anti-game features and content that make the easy route improbable, dayz will forever be an MMOGTA woodland expansion. I hate the immaturity that has taken over this forum since the release of the dayz SA. Rant complete.

It's an unfortunate bug in the game currently. Someone logged out in that spot and intentionally or unintentionally "exploited" the bug. Doing so placed the weapon at his feet where he logged out. You came along later and found it. Don't ask about the dupe bug because it shouldn't be discussed on the forums. That would just lead to unwanted proliferation of a problem that is already widespread.

Looting small towns while unarmed is already a bit hectic. Running in and out of small houses to find a blunt object with 5-6 on your tail makes looting so much more fun. I can already imagine how much of a pain cherno and the surrounding cities will be to loot when zeds are present in large numbers... So exciting. I think the weak melee weapons coupled with large numbers of zeds will force under equipped survivors to team together to effectively loot these population centers. -

If you are only in it to "win" why even bother playing dayz? Arma would give you a lot more firefights with less downtime inbetween -
While the zombie path finding is still far from perfect, have y'all noticed that now the zombies won' run through exterior walls around yards and such? They still ghost into houses, but if I'm in a closed off yard or something it seems like the zombies actually use gates and alleyways to reach me instead of just running through. Anyone else noticed this improvement?

But will the 10/22 be moddable? There are hundreds of attachments and variants for this weapon. I'm imagining a blued barrel with a wooden stock. But if they incorporate a mil-sim version it could drop parts like the M4 does currently. Will be an interesting addition to the game either way (whether it makes sense being in that country or not) -

It should be a knockout shot to the head. Then you bleed so much that by the time you wake up and bandage you're practically dead. 2 shots to the head should be required for the kill. -
Running away from superior points... First logical move you've made all day... Too bad I can't see you over this wall of facts. A wall of facts that your lackluster opinions cannot even come close to bringing down. At least you know when you're beat. But did you see that in first person or third..?
