But I already run 15mph. And everybody is on the eastern most fourth of the map. In the mod we were slow enough to warrant the need for light vehicles like bikes. When the game is closer to complete and we actually need to hoard survival equipment and build camps, vehicles will be necessary. But atm all vehicles would do is over stimulate the addoral jockeys that are already ruining this game.

The people asking for vehicles confuse me. Our characters run faster cross country than bikes ever got us places in the mod. Is a 20 minute run across the map really that bad? But if it would get the kiddies off of the coast I guess it's a good thing.

I was playing on a hardcore server yesterday that was full and late evening when I joined. An hour and a half later it had been dark for over an hour and there was still a full server. Could it be that hardcore players are more hardcore? Leave 3pp servers and you'll be more satisfied with the quality of players you play with.

I made a similar suggestion 2-3 months ago. Consensus was that it's too tedious. I think it would add to the survival experience (what's more important to keep stored in my vest and have accessible) and probably wouldn't be too difficult to implement. But with the pace of development currently, I wouldn't get my hopes up with small features like this that aren't popular among casual gamers

Wait, y'all don't know the bug that allows you to jog straight up hills..? Also, if you aren't sprinting with your fists up, the change in slope will make the change in speed less dramatic. I've noticed that you skip the jogging speed if you run with your fists up.

As a dungeon master (*dusting shoulders*) I can appreciate the immersive power of a well-articulated background story. Because of dayz's roots an origins (spawn on coast with no idea what to do) I don't think any kind of intro video or "spoon-fed" backstory would be appropriate. Replacing some of these random philosophy books and stories with newspapers, letters to home, diaries, etc. would, like you said, give some much needed character to chernarus. This kind of community generated content is much needed. Beans to you, sir.

Dat hive economy. There will be 1,000 of these rifles in the loot tables tops. And the ammo will be impossible to find. Make it unshoulderable while wearing a backpack and you've got a very well balanced weapon. The fear of losing it will make players not use it unless absolutely necessary (vehicles). It will also keep them off of the coast. But before they implement the hive economy they need to address the duping epidemic

And people still choose dayz as their go-to pvp. Such an odd community.

I guess I'm the only one that uses the mahete as my primary melee weapon... "Zombies are too easy. But I'm only going to use the fire axe..." Use a pistol and machete and head into an empty town and start killing. With the experience I have now, I can dispatch of two zombies at once with the mahete without taking a hit. Circle and aim for the head. When they are down, smack em twice in the head and they're toast. While not an overly enjoyable experience (melee combat is like rock em sock em robots atm), it increases the difficulty and prepares me for a day when the infected are the ones to avoid.

But, it should be noted that the CR75 looks much cooler with the silencer and flashlight attached. Well worth it.

But with magpul parts it's more than accurate enough. M4 + magpul parts = most accurate weapon in game

The cqb stock increases shot dispersion. It increases dexterity but sacrifices long range accuracy. The way to improve the accuracy of an M4 is to equip it with magpul parts (MP handguard and stock) Also, the acog scope does nothing to affect the accuracy of the weapon system: it merely assists the shooter in target acquisition.

Do you not agree that arma3 has a much better pvp experience than dayZ? Especially if you play hardcore. Please explain your reasoning to me. I just don't understand.

You're married? From the way you talk about arranging clan pitched battles I assumed you couldn't be older than 19 or 20. Why why why would you waste your time with clan wars in the alpha stage of a zombie survival game? Arma does it so much better. I know there are plenty of pick-ups that would do the job better, but instead I'm going to bitch at Chevy until they turn their sports car into an el camino and the car isn't bed at anything." Because KOS is the easiest play style. People think they need to "win" to enjoy this game. They don't see how awesome it can be to team up with someone who they can't trust and does not trust them. Always watching their back in case of a backatab. That is tension. Hours of tension. Hours of a game worth playing. Instead they hang on the coast looking for players to kill. Easy cheap thrills. It's like, "why would I put in all of this work for a girlfriend to fuck when I can just run home and masterbate when dick twitches in my shorts?" Why? Because sex is awesome. It takes more work to get it, and sometimes you fail and are shot down. But those failures make success that much sweeter. Defending KOS is like patronizing the guys trying to get laid instead of watching porn all day....

I said hardcore, not experimental. Especially if you play U.S west coast servers

I don't blame his friend one bit. Playing on empty servers is booooooooring.

^^^ but "watching their interactions" is beyond the capabilities of most of these players. Reacting to a scary man they see by blasting away is all that they know. And they think shooting everything is more fun than taking advantage of the human aspects of this game that no other game provides. Try not to get so angry about it. Instead, join hardcore servers and attempt player interaction there. You'd be surprised at who you bump into

"So I joined an empty server" Why? Looting by yourself is so boring. People need less time so they are forced to actually play the game when they do have time. Then they won't cry hacker when they die and understand that they were doing something stupid which led to their death. And your friends won't get so bored that they are forced to kill you for entertainment
