I lost all gear 2 times

I'm probably the worst offender, because I will do whatever it takes to preserve my stuff. This weekend, I found an L85. The story: after having died on the hill near cherno (near the tower) I run back from my spawn in elektro, find a hatchet, kill the other player who I killed on the hill 30 min earlier, then get shot at by an m9, hatchet him to buy time, i bandage and loot my corpse WHILE being shot at, kill him while blurred and with 1500 health, go back to a corpse, find a random L85, and abort. Then I glitch I GLITCH OUT. But, because the LATEST PATCH allows you to respawn on the beach if your data gets corrupted, I was fine. you shouldn't debug spawn anymore. Rocket fixed most cases... apparently yours is an exception

    Finding Your Perfect Gun

...yeah. This is common for me. I've found the m4a1 SD countless times. One time I found it by accident, other times I've found it by looking for it. They spawn in both barracks at the Northwest airfield. They DO NOT spawn at heli crash sites. I currently have two characters, one has a coyote pack, NVG, GPS, m4a1sd, AS50, DMR, PDW, all equipment besides rangefinders. The other has NVG, GPS, L85a2, M107 and a DMR, plus two spare NVG googles and an m1911. All I need now is a ghillie suit for both. I just found the L85. Been looking for it for a month about.

I lost all gear 2 times

I've lost my gear 10+ times by now. And I had coyote pack, m4a1sd, etc. Move on man. All I can say to do is, join another server, perhaps those were bugged. I've lost all my gear on one server and I switch and it's back.
  9. I don't see what the issue is. This is a game, and like the show Caprica, you can always disconnect right before death IF YOU CAN ANTICIPATE IT. I have no qualms about escaping the death of a character that I've worked on for days, or even weeks. I also don't care if other people do it to save themselves; to be honest I feel like if you can make it out alive, the other person really didn't have a shot in the first place. If two people keep going at it in a firefight, then both people want to engage. However, why prevent players who wish to avoid being stalked or had a bad day, or a bad moment, whatever it may be, from escaping if they have a chance? There is currently NO GUARANTEE that you will avoid death if you get shot, because you still may be bleeding and not be able to be saved. That said, I am a player who sometimes kills for sport, and I do disconnect to avoid death, and as it should be. The game is terrifying and stressful already, preventing a person from having to go in the moment (life sometimes calls out of no-where) makes the game just ridiculously frustrating. It is a game, isn't it? Should it really be THIS frustrating that we can't at least TRY to escape during a supremely dire situation?

  11. I completely and absolutely second the post before me. The game is annoying and tedious now. I just disconnect and reconnect to despawn the zombies. It's not fun, I play less :(

    Build 1.7.1 Rolling Update

To be honest, I think Rocket is trying to spite us for whatever reason. He seems very upset and doesn't really fine tune his own releases. This is NOT what he promised in the changelog. this is a BROKEN release. And the spite argument comes from this anonymous message I received: http://i.imgur.com/rhLFG.jpg
  13. This is quoted from Something Awful Forums, and I only post this because I want to know if this is true and I never saw an apology to the players that were banned, and as well it sheds light on the OCCASSIONAL lack of professionalism that I've seen regarding handling of Dayz "Here's a quick summary, I posted a script and the means method to nuke servers all over 4chan, my friend and I went to tons of servers and started relentlessly nuking them to laugh at chat after the people die, as the game has permadeath and they lose everything they've worked for. After 3 days of doing this, the game's developer shuts the game down completely, and bans every single person that's ever run a script while playing dayz. He goes and acts like a total dick on his forums laughing at all the people that got banned, a few hours later, he goes to the largest ARMA 2 hacking site and starts crying about how he done bad and how he was pushed to this." -Slamscooty Rocket, if this is true, what happened with your temper? I understand people can be frustrating and a total pain, not to mention provoking you because they know how you'll react, but based on this, and other posts I've read, while I appreciate how hard you work, you come across as standoffish and impulsive imho
