    DayZ Podcast suggestions

Cool, yeah I'd rather talk to mod and map developers in the run up to standalone, they'd be interesting to talk to and hear their stories, their design philosophies, after standalone though I'm not sure what the scene will be like. Maybe ARMA 3 mods and ports of DayZ would be a popular thing but I can't see the interest in alternative DayZ experiences holding after standalone. What about after/close to standalone launch?
  2. Hey, I'm a host of a general video game podcast and I've been playing Dayz for quite a while (late May, early June last year I believe) and it's still something I regularly play. I've got a dayz podcast related domain name and have had for a while, essentially holding off till standalone when it was dated to December last year but since it's still potentially a way off from public consumption (excluding youtubers and streamers) i'm debating with myself on when I should finally start work on it. I'm wondering, what kind of content would DayZ players be interested in listening to. A lot of you watch DayZ content on YouTube so I'd ask that you mind that things that work in video don't always work in audio. The release schedule would probably be either every 2 weeks or once a month and the show would be between 30mins to an hour approximately. The ideas I've been throwing about in my head are either interviewing streamers, youtubers, server hosts and admins, mod developers, clan leaders. Things like that. The other idea is interviewing people but in a role playing in character style. The reason I've thought of this is that I first got interested in DayZ by hearing people's stories about the game and it's possibilities. It might not even have to be in character but stories about tense or interesting sessions of gameplay without the meta-gaming content. I'm unsure what's best or maybe even both but I'm considering holding it off until Standalone's release because right now a lot of DayZ is kill on sight deathmatching and not as special as it was back when Direct Chat VOIP finally worked. What are your thoughts? I'll include a poll but comments and suggestions are welcome.
