    Enabling VON (Vilayer Server)

    Login to the ACP. Stop the server. Click on Configuration Files, then server.cfg. Click the dropdown menu for Voice (In Game) and click enabled. Save and start the server. You should be set!

    ViLayer server question

    Recently they seem to have been more difficult to track down... I tried Lee on Skype today and sat around in teamspeak for around 12 hours. Jeremy would pop in for about 15 seconds and disappear before anyone could say anything to him.

    What exactly is going on?

    My server provider has put out 2 patches so far today, so I would recommend sitting tight for another day or so before upgrading. Plenty of servers, including mine (US 188) are still on 1.7.1.5, so you might be better off waiting to upgrade.

  6. As I predicted, the update is up. But it does come with an odd disclaimer: DayZ v1.7.2 & ArmaOA94444 We've released this update in a none automated format because it contains bugs and errors.     No, it's the same. Find a rangefinder and then you'll be set because you can zero it up to 1500 meters! Otherwise, dots are 100 meter increments.

    Server where admin uses hacks -

    It may use a private HIVE, as several servers do these days. In that case, just play on a server connected to the normal HIVE and your problems are solved.

    Found a car.

    We've driven a UAZ to the airfield a few times. In fact, we've then proceeded to drive it around in circles on the runway, aggroing all of the zombies to make them follow the car, while other people quickly loot. It's hilarious.

    Spawn Unconscious Bug

    This was happening to me the other day. Once I restarted the server, it stopped happening. So you might just need to wait until a server restart.

    My clanmates were killed by someone like this once. The guy on our server had the zombie skin, just to be even more freaky.

    So loot does not despawn when zombies despawn? Those tin cans have to be actively picked up and removed?

    Like Machoman, I've never had trouble contacting them to ask them questions. Also, they're located in the UK. Lee told me when I asked him, and he also pointed out that it's on their website...

    US 188 Admin Cheating

    US 188! That's my server! I wasn't on when this happened to you (nor do I think were any of my clanmates with the [MAD] tag since they probably would have told me that they were all killed in the debug forest). But as others have pointed out, admins cannot do this :-) Do you know what time this happened? I can check the log and see if it sheds any light on the situation. I'm sorry it happened to you! Feel free to come back, as our server does not normally seem to be afflicted by suck hacks.
