It gives you the feeling that if you die you have to reset and start over. Every thing you do could result in potential death so therefor you have to be careful and play it safe and think out your actions as each and every one could spell out the end for your character leaving you with nothing. Also adrenaline is enhanced about 50x more when you succeed or even fail in that matter fearing for the loss of your hard earned progression.
I wouldn't care so much if the round didn't kill you so long as you can't alt f4 and actually disconnect with all your gear. Yesterday I saw someone and after having clarified that it was none of us in the group I shot him in the torso (I don't bother with head shots) and he definitely went unconscious but I couldn't find his body or even see it after he went down but it was sorta behind something. I didn't have much thought when he went down but it looked like he disappeared from logging as he fell unconscious and I don't think anybody killed him later because we were shortly attacked seconds after I fired by a few more people.
[Killed] So I was sitting there after just attacking someone in a ural killing him but the ural drove off because of the passenger. The original driver was just a bambi as suspected but I continued on and setup with my m14 and ghillie at the edge of the woods near the incident right between cherno and elektro. As I was laying there and focusing on another bambi about 650m away I heard something and then turned around to find a bambi behind me. What do I do? I rolled. I ROLLED. Needless to say he shot me in the face with his makarov... and he was probably happy with his findings.
Ok so I do ok fps wise but I can still get REALLY low fps in higher populated places like Cherno or Elektro. I know this isn't a Graphics problem as I have a HD 7950 so more than likely it is my CPU. Here is currently what I have in my DayZ commander launch so add anything that should be in there or remove/edit stuff that shouldn't... -nosplash -skipIntro -noPause -CpuCount=4 -maxmem=4096 -maxvram=3072 -exThreads=4 -winxp -world=empty GPU: Sapphire 7950 3gb CPU: i5 - 2310 RAM: 8gb Resolution: 1360x768
I searched both and nothing came up so I don't know if I searched right because they seem fairly suggested but maybe not. Micro UAV - Found this from looking in Arma 3 features that squads could deploy these so I figured adding a UAV quadcopter with a 1 in a 50000 chance to find one in a military base. Squads could have a UAV pilot to fly one around a town or field giving locations of enemies. IEDs - You could create an IED with Tin cans + Razors + Scrap metal + [any explosive material] + [some kind of trigger[ could create a nasty IED for the side of a road.
The UAV just seemed really cool although I doubted it myself as well. I guess it would go along with something more in arma 3 like with the wasteland mode.
