Before you fix or add anything else.

This just in: BIS gives all 3D artists, game designers and non-sound programmers a month of paid holiday while the sound guys fix this issue. Are you happy now OP?
  2. A ruined t-shirt becoming ruined rags does make very little sense. In fact, I'm not sure how rags can be so ruined as to be useless.
  3. Premature optimization is the root of all evil. That's a mantra of programming. You optimize once all features are in place, not before. Besides, I've not noticed any particularly worse lag or desync than expected. Are you sure it's not just your connection? Are you playing on servers with good ping?

    Bodies disapearing ?

Yes, it's been reported already. What I suspect happens is that people who go unconscious from gunshots just logoff (since respawn rarely works), and the server counts that as a live player log off, and despawns the corpse after 30s.
  5. If anything, please distribute bans and delete posts, but don't lock the thread. Unfortunately, it seems to be more effective to raise issues here and/or reddit than on the bugtracker.
  6. The logoff timer in EVE is a recent addition (a year? Maybe a bit longer), until then, you logged off blind as it will be in DayZ. You can argue that the 1 minute timer (without aggro) in EVE was much safer than 30 seconds in DayZ, and I might agree. You have better safe spots, and can be reasonably sure nobody will get to you in that minute. Plus, before the timer, your ship despawned after a minute no matter what, so most of the time you could be almost 100% nobody could find and kill you within 60 seconds. DayZ is a bit riskier, but 30 seconds is still not that long,

    Best feeling in-game?

The second best feeling is getting shot at but escaping. The best feeling is doing that, and then killing your attacker.
  8. It's possible, but it happened three times in a row in at least two different servers, at different times over the evening and night. EDIT: Just happened a 4th time. Logged off 40 minutes ago in the forest south of Pavlovo, logged in just now back inside the barracks at the military base. I don't know if it's my just my char or what.
  9. Anyone else finding they log on at a different point than they logged off at? I just reported that as 7958.
  10. That's a different bug, it's already reported. There is also some sort of issue (on stable) with some bodies being invisible to some players, but I don't know enough about it to make a coherent bug report.

To the server hoppers in NE Airfield.

The thing that I don't understand about all this is, why the hell do you change server when it restarts? If I get the "no message received" in a high value area, I make sure I go straight back into the same server. The server just restarted and there's loot everywhere. Plus there's less risk of spawning in front of someone who was already looting.

    Moon phase?

In Arma2, and the in the DayZ mod, the moon phase ingame used to match the one in real life. A week or two ago, I was playing, and I noticed it seemed to match too. Then nights became darker ingame, and I realized it made sense, as the new moon was coming. Tonight, playing on an UK experimental server, I was pleasantly surprised by a 3/4 moon high in the sky. But today it's almost new moon in real life, and the moon should barely be out during nighttime. Anyone else has noticed this? Not complaining, I really enjoy playing moonlit DayZ.
  13. First, the server time is shown in the server list. Look carefully, and you'll be fine. Second, if you get a call saying a loved one in the hospital, and your first thought is about that safety of your dayz character, you have a serious problem. Funny story. There was this guy I used to play EVE Online with. One day, while we were all playing, he just stopped replying to char, voice, or anything. While his ship was just drifting in space where anyone could kill it. It was like that for maybe a couple hours. And then he came back, explaining he was a volunteer firefighter and had just gotten a call. He didn't even bother to quit the game. When real life calls, your pixel gear is just that, pixels.
  14. I just killed two players in an experimental server. Both corpses despawned almost inmediately. One of them was only unconscious, so I put an extra bullet into his head at close range, and the body despawned while I was looting. Maybe a minute from death, tops. Has anyone else seen something similar?
  15. Paranoia. Sure, that guy sprinting towards you with an axe in his hands might be friendly. But do you really want to find out?
  16. Any chance we can get the updated parts highlighted next time? :)

    Loot spawning is too formulaic

There's something very broken in the loot spawning system. Some buildings that should spawn loot (according to the game files via dayzdb), never do. It's not that it's rare, its that I've genuinely never seen any despite checking dozens of them. If all buildings were spawning loot properly, you could find military weapons in nearly every town (with very low chance, but it would be there). That would encourage people to disperse a bit, just like people checked deer stands in the mod. The chances of a good gun in them was low, but we tried anyway, and that got people moving around the map.
  18. My server just crashed, restarted, and I tried to rejoin. I never got past "please wait", so I quit an retried. Got hit with the 5 minute timer for quitting a server too quickly. The timer is fine in theory, but some checking to make sure you actually played on the server would help.
  19. See http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=7449 which includes video example in comments.
  20. Same thing happened last update. I'm fairly sure it's what happens when the server is full and too many people keep trying to join.
  21. Jog, not sprint. I'm pretty sure (but it's been a while), that if you started sprinting after a bit your character dropped into a jog.
  22. No, it's actually about 30% slower than the 100m sprint world record. The lack of a stamina system is what's unrealistic. Even in the mod, you couldn't sprint for long.
  23. Sprinting speed is around 20-25 km/h, no more, in the game. This guy took 70 minutes to run the roughly 26km of the coastal road edge to edge.

    Shotgun Snap-Loaded Shells Bugged

Great work. I see you put it on the bugtracker already. Everybody go vote for it.
  25. I just realized... this will become a pain with the server hopping fix
