I was wondering if anyone knew of some good servers I could call home and make a base at.

When I double click on DAyZ Commander to open it, it brings up all of the servers like it should. But when I click on a server, it opens up ARMA 2 OA, and says "Bad Version, Server connection failure". So the I proceed to go to the Day Z multiplayer window and open it. Then I browse through the servers and most say I can't play because of the wrong version, but I have updated my version the the newest one, And when I do find a server, My gear doesn't follow me to that server, So I have to start all over.

I'm in a debate whether I should wait for the Day Z standalone, or whether I should just buy ARMA 2: Combined ops. Combined ops is only $20 and I really don't want to wait for the standalone.

My first experiance with an unfriendly player was in Elektro, when I was hosed down with an AK the second I got into the hospital.

The first game I played, ended in a ridiculous death. It was a night game and I was walking around the outskirts of some unknown town. And suddenly, I heard a zombie right behind me, so I stood up and began to sprint away, I noticed I was bleeding so I ran into a church and bandaged myself. I then went back outside to continue my search for supplies. Same zombie, still outside. I started sprinting away again, cutting through yards, hopping fences, until I got to this one yard with a trash can fire in it. I hopped the fence and ran toward the fir, hoping to juke it to the right, but instead I ran straight into it and broke my legs and bled to death.):

My revenge story isn't as good as the others, but here it goes: I was in Elektro meeting up with some friends in the hospital, and we agreed to split up in search for weapons. So after a while, one of my three friends died, so the rest of us regropuped to search for his body and the killer. As we were moving through a tangle of buildings, I got shot by a lee enfield and was dropped. My comrades were foreced to move to cover and leave me due to so much oncoming fire. We then realized that there were five of them, and my mates killed all but one, which ambushed them and killed them both. I got back to Elektro and whipped out my hachet(which was starting gear), And I charged into town for a last ditch effort. I found the bandit looting supplies in a hospital, so I stuck to the other side of the road for a bit, waiting to see what he would do. It appeared he was waiting for his mates to get back to town and re collect their things. So, being the doorknob I am, I charged him with my hachet out, and I hacked him until he hit the ground, then hacked at him until he was no more. Bloodiest revenge story ever.....

This is so bad ass

I was wondering if, when I download Operation Arrowhead off of steam, Do I still need to keep the original ARMA:2 installed?

No offense, but you remind me of that one prisoner in Conair that piloted the plane haha.

I have Day Z commander downloaded, and that's where I was planning to get it from.

Since I'm going to be a new player soon, on a scale from 1-Russian, how badass is this game?

I already have CO, but the Operation Arrowhead disc will not work, so I was trying to find a new one.

I'm not sure where that is on the list.

I saw something recently about a new Day Z standalone that doesn't require ARMA 2: Combined ops. The release date was late 2012 or early 2013, could someone please fill me in on what's happpening?

I am having trouble installing ARMA 2: OP to my computer. It always stops when the bar gets above the word "Addons" and says it cannot load addons. So I was wondering if someone could help me troubleshoot this problem.

Sorry, I was at school, And I meant to say installing, sorry.

I just popped the disc in and an autorun button came up, so I clicked on that, and it asked if I wanted to install so I clicked install and put the code in, other than that I'm not entirely sure what you're asking.

That's the same thing my brother said, but he told me on the way to school so I didn't have a chance to try it out.
