Remove the thermal scopes - there's plenty of things to find out there that taking them out isn't a big deal OR make them need regular maintenance like any other piece of kit and a damageable item if it gets shot or hit. If you want a realistic thermal sight then either make it realistic or take it out.

There's a reason rare items are rare items in the game. They were obviously meant to be hard to come by and the ammo would be scare as well. Since you can dup ur gear this makes the whole rarity issue obsolete. Since you can disconnect with 1 bullet in each of your magazines and reconnect and they're all full again makes rare ammo obsolete (you don't even have to go back to your tent). How many "snipers" would bother to sit on a hill and snipe if they only had 2 mags worth of ammo and never knew when the next lot would turn up? I had a CZ550 with 2 clips of ammo - 10 bullet. I used the lot covering my mates as they went to an airfield then I had to get up and run in cqb. The rifle is gone now because I had to chose between what gear benefited our group as a whole. I was gutted, more so because it was the only long range weapon we had but choices have to be made... Isn't that the point of this game?

Me too but i've only done it 3 times with a ghillie suit. As for camo clothing, I've looked everywhere for it and can''t find any! hehe...

I'm not that bothered by it. I've spent hours on this too and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest to know that a huge flaw in the system has been removed - but they need to remove the tents until they're fixed, not wipe the servers clean, otherwise everything you found becomes instantly worthless the moment you stick it into a tent. I would just like the tents to be fixed. Don't want a fucking dog or anything else til lthe tents get fixed and you can keep ur stuff in, they won't dupe and yiou can place them almost anywhere without having to spend an hour moving slightly, pitch tent, moving slightly, pitch...

it's the players that are unbalanced, not the game. When u have a bunch of selfish psychopaths running round shooting everything on site because they shit their little pants when they see another player then how is the game ever going to work? "Oh but it's survival..it's you or me" - bullshit. Are people really that deficient in brain power that they equate survival to having 4 extra slots in their back pack, or a slightly better gun, or a car? When food and water are plentiful and everywhere "survival" doesn't come into it AT ALL. Take away the players and give the player a hunting knife, hatchet, a water bottle and a box of matches and if you can't "survive" with just those then you're a fucking moron. Survival my ass. After another death sometime ago I decided to test out the zeds and just aggro as many as I could and found that I could run circles around them. So now other than their annoying "spot you whilst crawling from 200 meters" BS, they are nothing more than a pest. Going to disagree on your metagaming analogy a little. Since there is zero human interaction in the game, the forums is a place where that goes on. So think of it as a bar in the middle of the desert that survivors congregate too to talk about the infected.

Since they save character info on the hive servers, why don't they just run some code to go through and remove anything that shouldn't be in there? Whether you got the item by hacking or finding it on a hacker, it still gives an unfair advantage to that player that all the other players don't get and should be immediately dropped!

TL:DR? Then why the fuck are you on a forum then you numbnut! Had a great session of DayZ last night at NE Airfield. Me and two mates have found that blue car (S1203 or something - we're calling it Herbie for now lol) and we've been driving around the map looking for gear so we decided to head to the NE Airfield. Being 3 of us I decided to cover them from a nearby hill with a CZ550. So I don my Ghillie suit and find a small rubble wall with a low fir tree close by and set up between the two. I'm down the hill enough that I'm not skylining myself and hoping the tree and wall are enough to make me look like a part of them. So I'm sat up there and really not expecting anyone to be up here with us since there's maybe 8 people on the server and we make up 3 of these. I was even going to say "screw this" and run down but I decided to stay and cover my friends. I check the map and guesstimate the distance to the Hangars and dial in 700M. My first mate drives the car down to the end hangar and gets out to start checking it out. My other friends is nearer the control tower. So I'm just sat there, scanning around and realising just how shit the view distance is (which means providing effective overwatch is going to be limited). Next thing I hear is my mate calling out he's been shot. The guy that shot him must have been running to the hangars at exactly the same time he was making his way there. So now my sights are firmly over the dead body of my buddy and a minute later, the assailant shows up crouching over him to check his gear. I line up my shot, the sight is moving a little (very noticable at this distance) and I take the shot. I can't tell if I hit him, I see a blood splash but my friends body is between us so it could have hit either and at this range, it's hard to tell. So I fire off a few more shots, the guy gets up, I see blood pouring out of him and he runs to the back of the hanger. I take another shot though I can't tell if I hit him or not and it all goes quiet. Meanwhile my other mate is running up there. I watch and wait and 30 seconds later, they guy is back in the corner of the hanger (He must have thought the shot came from some other place because he's right in my sights again) He stops, I shoot and hit him again so he starts bandaging himself right there - I couldn't believe it so I keep firing and I see him go down. I line up to shhot him and "click" out of ammo. I used up 10 shots trying to get this guy, I know I got at least 4 on him so not the greatest accuracy ever but mission accomplished (it's hard to see where the shots land at that distance and whilst I've sniped in Arma1, this was my first PvP snipe in Arma2 soo I was happy) So I'm telling my mate to get up there and put 2 in his head because I can't tell if this guy is dead and know he can get up at anytime and a G17 ain't gonna cut it at 700m. So he gets up there and puts some rounds in him then goes to the body of our fallen comrade in an attempt to secure his gear into "Herbie" - our first mistake. Next thing I know he's down - there's another guy there and probably this guy's overwatch. So I'm like "Fuck! I have a pistol and I have both my mates down there dead, their gear and our Car - fuck it it's do or die" So I get up, circle around the hill and start running towards the hangars keeping them between me and where I think this guy is (I have no idea if he's really close or really far). I reach the hangars and just leg it inside. I have a quick careful peak through the scope but can't see anything so I decide to try and salvage our gear. I run to the car, drop my shit in it as bullets whiz over my head (fortunately this guy isn't a very good shot, or he's so far away he's made it impossible for himself). I go back, get one other mates gear and jump into Herbie as I can't bear the thought of loosing him. I know one day we will but he's become like a 4th member of our team and does a pretty good job cross country and has a great boot/trunk. I drive south, hide the car, grab my AK Cobra and run back. The next 20 minutes is me laying down, watching over the dead body of our third mate whilst they respawn and run back to where I am. I'm by the 2nd hanger and I have zombies all around me. I'm expecting to get shot in the back because I'm thinking this guy might discon and server hop to get behind me but it's deathly quiet. In the end we get most of out gear back (we didn't lose anything that valuable) and I had the best moment of my DayZ lives. Thanks to the guy I killed for not disconnecting in the fight and taking ur death like a man. Thanks for being enough of a douche too that by killing my mate, you died and lost ALL your gear (you could have waited 10 minutes for us to leave and new gear would have spawned and FYI - there was fuck all of any value there anyway except a smoke grenade. We actually found car parts of various descriptions which was the best find up there and only useful to us since we had a car). That was a lot of fun for me :) Dunno what happened to the sniper, never heard another shot from him again and we have everything back and are on the way to another random spot on the map. This time we'll be a lot more tactical in our approach and I'll get in some practice on the ranges... J.

I just wish they'd fix the damn things so u can set them like campfires. The parameters are ridiculous right now and then u have to end up pitching them right in the fucking open which kind of makes them pointless (and the fact they're bugged still). Funnily enough, I tend to come across tents on my travels but they're always empty. Sometimes I leave shit in them in case someone else drops by - i don't mean I take a crap in them, like stuff.... ;)

US 916 EDMW (change the topic title please) Not that thee's any point to this ebcause dumbass windows 7 won't take a fucking screenshot of my game instead it takes it of my desktop but just now, everyone was Teleported to one spot and I'm dead. I knew I what was going on and tried to ALT-F4 immediately but it didn't work so I'm dead, lost all my gear (again). This happened Just now, like 5 minutes ago, Me (Jex), Fanatik and Hook were on the server playing together so it isn't them but if anyone can check the server logs for this asshole then please do, there were only about 10 people on the server at the time. One guy was running over all the dead bodies, I spawned back in and was tp'd again but it was likew he couldn't see me for a while, then my avatar started kinda blinking on the spot, like it was repositioning, i guess it was fixing its position or something and he see's me and kills me. So the prick at this time, who killed everyone so he could steal their gear (??) is probably the dick ur after. BIS - SORT THIS SHIT OUT!

Thanks but I';ve never once come across Morphjine Injectors except when I found a helo crash site the other day. Everywhere else me and my mates have been and not found one which makes me think maybe it's the server? Can a server affect what spawns? As for the Zeds, yeah they are easy if you play the engine - by that I mean you are exploiting the game code BUT if you want to play the game more like an RPG then trying to make your way through the fuckers is almost impossible when u have a party of 3. Inevitably one zombie in town will have better eyesight and see u crawling and then ur fucked because standing up takes so long. I could just run through town, fire off an enfield, get all the zeds to chase me to the end of town and then circle back up to meet up with my mates but where's the fun in that. In the old Dayz, when the zeds just followed u forever, it was fun weaving your way through them - now it's a pointless exercise. One last thing that aggravates me about them is the stupid pistols. If you're going to nerf the 1911 and revolver and basically require a head shot or go through your ammo completely, make them fucking easier to get a headshot. I want the zeds to be a part of Dayz, not some annoyance that are in the way of me grabbing loot. Currently the whole model is wrong, they spot you way too easy now but then are way to easy to lose - ummm hello?

The arma system is shit - download the original Operation Flashpoint and play it - you will groan as you suddenly realize it has hardly changed in 12 years. It has nothing to do with realism - you cannot configure a rifle correctly, instead the inventory of a weapon crate has to have every variance of one rifle because u simply cannot attach a scope or a suppressor leaving you with ridiculously long weapon inventories. Add to the the clunky, awful movement, getting stuck in narrow openings, the animation loops u get stuck in, the transitions between stances - it's all awkward and difficult instead of being fluid like the body is - it's almost like playing someone who's disabled or has a bad back

Maybe with the million extra sales the mod has given them, they could hire someone to work on the boring bugs and leave Rocket to work on exciting stuff!
