This. Fix the ammo being refreshed and the duping and see how many people start shooting then. When you have to actually make shots count and knowing the scarcity of rare ammo types, people will be less likely to fire off anything but an enfield.

I used to play an RPG called Twilight 2000, set after 3rd world war. In that you could produce ethanol and methanol as fuel (this was table top rpg) - that element would be quite cool and easily done (see sahrani/takistani/chernarus life for an example)

Not only that but much longer times "receiving data" - like 10 or 20 minutes then when u get in ur FPS will be 3 since the server is cluttered up with all kinds of shit.

With tents there's always the risk of losing everything plus u have to run back there if you die so if u can just teleport things between characters that would be pretty stupid however, unless Rocket is going to completely change the nature of this game, I would think there won't be this options of "characters"

We just tested this on our server - had the blue van at Soli and the 2 boats nearby. Put gear in them, save all 3 3 times and restarted the server. On restart, all have respawned back to their places and all damaged so need fixing again. So this patch just made tents and vehicles broken, didn't fix the graphical glitch so what was the point of it?

as of 1.7.2.5 all vehicles respawn on a server restart

Both the M107 and the AS50 weigh about 14kg's which is pretty heavy. Having just found an AS50 in game, I'm amazed at how steady they are in the crouched and prone (unsupported) positions. Crouched you barely notice any movement at all. Holding ur breath I assume will take even that away. This needs to be changed. I suggest the devs get hold of one and see how well they can hold it on a target without even firing. After that they should try firing from the crouched and prone and note the recoil. If u make a military sim game, ffs spend some time with the weapons ur modeling!!

I only ever wear my ghillie suit when I'm actually going to use it for stealth. All other times I wear the regular clothing or the camo clothing if i come across it but now I'll probably only wear the regular.

I've been playing Dayz for months, never found a crash heli site, never found an M24. LAst week started playing with my friends and in that week alone I think we came across 6 or 7 heli sites. We have an AS50 we found in an off road and yesterday, another mate started playing for the first time and finds an M24 in a deer stand by the military camp by the southern airstrip (Bolota?). We drove to a store in Zelenogrosk and then got a message saying the server will restart in 5 mins. I tell him to grab the M24 out the car and I save the car then we camp for 2 mins until the server kicks us. Server comes back up and the M24 is in the car and in his hand so now we have 2. We don't dupe or cheat, we have fun with what lady luck gives us but even when I tried to save the vehicle so it wouldn't dupe - it did. Also the airfield hangers are shit. been to them countless times and always shitty gear. For the hassle u get with the zeds, seemingly they see u even better up there and run fast in hangers, I'd rather just leave them alone and loot the barracks.

Ladies and Gentlemen, We found a car some days ago, that cool little s1203 Van but we damaged it and now can't repair it. We have put wheels on every wheel point and then some but when we sit in it, the wheel icon is yellow and the thing is undrivable so we've ditched it (We also had a bus that some prick decided to just blow up in the middle of berezino and then disconnect. We weren't even near it at the time and he was the only other player on the server and just happened to be where we were...) - are the vehicles bugged for fixing them? For a couple of days now our small group has been trying to find some vehicles and we have been scouring the map looking for them. We are using an online map that shows locations though I think now this is slightly out of date. Either way we basically are just going to the area around where they are marked and looking for them but so far have found nothing and we've covered quite a lot of ground. - Do vehicles respawn on a server restart even if someone has already taken and saved that vehicle someplace else? (so affectively it makes another one of those vehicles) - Do all vehicles spawn on the map or is there just a chance of them spawning? I've read of people hording vehicles so I understand they may have already been taken which sucks but little we can do about that. Any other tips for finding vehicles or fixing them would be appreciated.

OK our vehicle we repaired all the wheels but they were all grean. So we put wheels on the left and right front, LF and RF and rear wheels and even middle wheels. Are you saying that if the wheel shows up green it's not the right wheel and we need to see it a different colour? thanks :)

Me and a Buddy disconnected yesterday from a server. We were in the firestation in electro and were the only 2 people in the server. Then I hear the sound of a sniper rifle, i think the m107 but I can't be sure but it's close by. I told him to disconnect so we did (we just went back to the lobby). We had all the doors closed so we couldn't be seen and were on the lower floor - I was going to lead us out the back door and into the hills but the reason I didn't? Because I figured for the one player to join the server and be right near us and have a sniper rifle is way too coincidental that I was thinking "hacker". I have died 20 times or more, taken every kill but now, if I even smell the hint of a hacker, I'll alt f4 or quit back to the lobby. He quit the server as soon as we were back at the lobby.

Well it's rare for the people that don't have, don't hack and don't dupe - you know, the people playing the game how it was meant to be played? So right now, the game is punishing the players that are playing the game the way it was designed to be played and rocket is bending over for all the hackers and glitchers out there and shouting "take me! take me!"
