You don't need a vehicle other than a bike. Bikes are boss (push bikes not m/bikes). It doesn't take that long to cross the map on foot anyway and using vehicles is just giving yourself away (or your camp). We ditched using vehicles on out server a while back (we still have a couple and we have a no vehicle hording rule). Personally I'd just have us all outfitted with push bikes. Can't wait to set up an ambush on a car with a couple of MG's just for the shits.

Zombies looted the tv's

My first real LOL moment in DayZ was at Green Mountain. I just went through the gates to the tower and closed them behind me. Then this rabbit runs up to the gates right by my feet, stops, the gates open and it runs out. Before that day I'd never seen a rabbit open a gate before. Listening to my mate and his son bitching because they got lost at sea because they were heading "for that bit of land that's off in the horizon" - oh you mean the backdrop image that you can never reach? "What!?" Yesterday I'm running through wilderness and I'm running the contour of a steep hill when this thing flies across my screen. My first thought was someone just threw something at me but then I thought, "Actually - that looked like a rabbit" Sure enough it was! It ran down the hill but the hill got to steep so it ejected off it and killed itself. Funny thing is 10 seconds prior to that my mate was just bitching that he can't find a fucking animal anywhere. "well you like that now don't you! Take a fucking rabbit!" (that's the dayz gods btw)

This i'm no fan of - you will feel ill long before you get to the point of puking however with no UI you won't have a clue till you get to the end stage. That would be like getting a cold but rather than feeling it coming on you're walking along and suddenly you sneeze and your nose starts dribbling and goes all red you suddenly feel hot, etc. Also the take on helicopters flight model will only be useful for 3 people on each server

Does a zombie shit in the woods? ;) Trouble is can ur PC or the server handle hundreds of zombies. I'd prefer head shots and slower zeds i think - like The Walking Dead ones. Not too slow but not too fast and lot's of them.

I play on expert - there's no difference as far as zombies go. Run and keep running (I like to tease them by suddenly running a circle or running backwards and zigzagging. Sometimes I run around a car and then i pretend i'm going to run one way but then run the other!!). When u need to get rid of them hide in a bush. I always thought it should be having to sneak around them and weave ur way through trying not to aggro them. It's not like that and you don't headshot zeds on the run, you wait till they're in a house and u do it with a pistol. Quite honestly the only thing I think of when I have zeds chasing me is that they're a huge giveaway to other players. If i was playing Single Player I wouldn't even think about them because right now, for me anyway because I know how they work now (new players die repeatedly as they learn how to avoid them and things), they are an irritation more than anything.

We're opening our server to anyone that wants to join. You will need to email us for a password, including your username so we can keep track of who is meant to be on the server so we can admin it efectively. We are banning the use of choppers and have taken measures to remove them from the game. Anyone found using a chopper will be banned from the server. Also, we don't want players hording vehicles as we want vehicles for people to use. This doesn't mean you can't have a few vehicles, but hording say 10 vehicles is not on (we will find them and drive them to random towns or destroy them). Barbwire griefing will also not be tolerated - you can lay it down for tactical purposes but to aggro other players is not acceptable. If you're interested, email us at [email protected] and we'll reply with the password and server rules that you will agree to when joining the server. We'll do our best to admin it fairly and we will not shoot you on sight (promise) We will however make you act out the deliverance scene if u start being a dick. Jex

Haven't you noticed.? When ur full there are cows and goats frolicking in the fields everywhere - starving hungry not even a fucking rabbit and mysteriously, now beans seem to spawn. You want a compass, or a map - can never find one until AFTER you find one then they're in every fucking place (It took me 2 or 3 days to find a compass once and then after that, in the space of an hour I find like 4 or 5 of the things) You want a wheel, or a specific car part but wherever you look, no matter how far you travel, everything BUT that item spawns. Dayz somehow knows what you want and knows how to take it away from you and then rub it in your face after.
