If I had my way I would remove 3rd person except for vehicles as its exploited by players in the ways already posted. Its removal would make flying heli's a challenge or more so landing a heli.

What's the eta on this patch. Yes the zeds are a lot harder now which is great but the infection rate coupled with the change in the infection mechanic ie.once infected your a dead man unless you can find some precious antobiotics is making survival near on impossible unless you hide in the woods.

It's funny that I guessed you where the op just by reading the title. You are clearly a idiot with a axe to grind as public hive servers never have or will have these tools unless your a cheat. The reason people play on private servers is mostly because of the rampant hacking which was taking place last year if you can remember that far back, this is why like minded players started hosting private server to help combat the problem. Sure some admins will abuse the system but that's just human nature. Yes I do help admin a server which I do fairly which I will point out takes my time and stops me playing pvp as that would not be fair. On the server I'm helping admin we now have th ability to spectate players. Haven't found any cheats yet but has confirmed a few where not hacking. Have seen a players base being raided while the owner of the base was raiding the first players base. :)

Was playing on a server last night with a group of players taking on NPC and zeds. Had nvg but had brought the wrong main gun type so played without them. Sure it was harder but was still a lot of fun and a more intense game. Had squads of NPC loaded up in vehicles hunting us which was much more intense without the use of nvg.

Nice game mechanic exploit. Can you also show me how to get unlimited ammo while your about it?

Simple answer if you can easily afford to by both buy arma2 now and start enjoying until standalone is released. If money is tight for you wait until standalone

I would still say no. Any game mechanic that forces the player to play longer than they intended should be avoided. I find the "combat timer" fucking annoying when I want to stop playing because of a real life issue,but I can't because I shot a zed and still have a zed near by. True if it's some thing important I'll just drop the game but it should not be that way and your idea would just make matters worse. Some of us have real life's as well you know.

Darn if only I was in the closed alpha what with a week off work.

Had fun last night everyone on the server raided the nwaf to take on the ai players and zeds. Had a few deaths but everyone still had fun playing together as a group. Lost a heli on the way out from the raid from a hail of ai bullets but we managed to eject safely.

Well I ended the night by parking up my fav vehicle the camo uaz from green mountain and some nice gear. Server was playing nice and smooth with a low ping. Zeds where a bit touchy bitey but I guess that can't be helped.

Will be strutting my stuff through Cherno tonight on your new server.

If you will find it hard to pay for both games wait for standalone. If you can afford it buy arma 2 for dayz until the standalone which you will see has no release date announced yet. Personally I got my money's worth after a couple of hours so any everything else is a bonus for me.

Yes "LOL" we accept if we are in dispute with steam regarding a single game they will prevent access to the rest of your steam game library. Shame that attitude should come from a fourum mod. As for BE I think they should always give all the information they have regarding any ban to the player who has been banned. Eg.sever where ban was applied, what cheat was used, ip of player, in game name Game company accountants must love all the extra copies of game sold to genuine cheats and the unlucky people who are scammed out of their game. I would like to see game company's making their products more secure but why would they when bans increase sales. Funny isnt it that games where you play a monthly sub are far more secure and have dedicated teams to deal with security of their product.

3 weeks ago I applied to this server on a whim to try out this new fangled private hive thing. Been fucking hooked since then. Alot people are friendly and you have a chance to play the game as a survival game rather than just another fps. If your looking for a home server there has just been a hive reset due to a new set of rules so now would be a great time to join.

The op clearly consented to this lewd behaviour as can be seen in his post "so i really want to see what the conclusion is here. The op stood their and allowed himself to be shot in the head twice and only one of them times with a gun, while listening to his partner over voice com. Thankfully I can't see this mode of game play catching on. I hope

Seems fair to me

Probably dust and muck in the cooling system blocking airflow. If you know what your doing clean the cooling system by taking it apart or get someone to do it for you. Blasting the vents with air may help but is no substitute for giving the inside a proper clean. I would also recommend a laptop cooler if you plan on playing games for extended periods of time. Good luck in getting it fixed.
