found my 3rd today. still not found a mag for one so left it behind.

i like it but it needs some work. especially the rain i was walking along and it starts very lightly raining i go from dry to soaked in seconds

used to have a nice quite spot east of neaf next to a lake. not anymore with a new road running past it :(

that does bother me that you can bleed to death from full health if you have no bandages or rags. it should be made so you stop bleeding after say you have lost half your blood. if the injury is from say a gun shot then you could justify needing to bandage before the blood stops flowing but one hit from a zed shouldn't be a death sentence if you have no bandage. as for 3 items i want first that would be 1.hatchet/axe 2.warm clothes 3.matches

they should make them spawn more often at the moment simply so that we can test them what with it being a pre alpha and all.

another thing to know is you drop items when you swim through water. lost my backpack, main gun and gun parts i had on my body when i swam across a lake. managed to retrieve my items by going for another swim.

How dare you try to enter their pay to win server! its a joke how the public servers are being run just look at the server names. when servers can be non public servers i will not care the the admins run their private server as it will have no influence on the public hive. don't get me wrong i will probably play on private servers more than public servers when they are available but public servers should be just that public.

i like to play at night due to the better atmosphere but being able to adjust the gamma so much does spoil it. let hope the new game engine will fix that. first game of dayz i played was in the very early days of the mod after my missus had foolishly told me about it. i spawned at night on the docks of electro. found my torch after i found my inventory but couldn't get the thing to turn on. did i mention it was night time thought the game was broken at first what with only being able to see a black screen. after a short while i found i could start to see a little bit and could just make out a town across the water. jumped in the water then started to swim and then swam some more considered turning back but decided to plough on. after what seem a eternity of swimming and watching my temp go down i finally reached the other side of the water and found a place to get out. now i started slowly heading towards the silhouette of a building with my tiny handgun drawn. i can hear gun shots in the distance and the sounds of yet to be seen zeds. after figuring out how the house door opened i found a can of beans and a can of coke but only after slowly searching the almost totally pitch back rooms so much so i had trouble finding the exit. after leaving the house a player lit a flare in the town and i could now make out much more of the town with it hellish red backlight started to head that way down a road and before i got too close i headed of the road to look in a building things start getting very dark again. was about to enter the building and black figure comes out the entrance. YOU ARE DEAD! now if i had started playing in the day time i'm sure I would have still have enjoyed the game but I don't think it would have had such a impact on me. it had been such a long time since I had played a game that had me on the edge of my seat like dayz did with its atmosphere of tension which was just increased when you played at night. some of my best games of dayz have been played in the night time. so why don't people play in the dark? A. because its harder to see and they think it makes the game harder to play. :huh: think it would be nice to get that warm fuzzy feeling when "oh my god" you find a pair of nvg if the cheating in items can be fixed so they are truly extremely rare rather than just cranking up the gamma for poor man nvg.

ok with yet another type of ammo just waiting for the amount of ammo to spawn to be reduced significantly to improve the game play.

don't know if its coincidence but i have found when you look at a zed directly from a distance they seem to see the sparkle in your eyes and comes a running from some luv. the infected seem to be a bit more strange of late. i spotted a pair playing leap frog along the south coast a few dayz ago. that and the zed that died mid star jump while teleporting through a wall and the 3 zeds a saw stuck against a invisible wall in the middle of a field. had the idea that they should change the sound of the animal hoofs to the benny hill music when the animal is being chased by a pack of zeds to complete the picture as they run past you :)

next step crafted firearms. along with risk of damaging backfire :)

contact battle eye is the only way to get un banned. yes sometimes they do give false bans but most of the time the player has cheated. hope you dont own the mod or arma 3 as that will also be banned now. :P

op doesn't seem to under stand the public hive concept as he claims in his first sentence. no one made him rent his server so really he has no one to blame except for him self. i looked into renting one but made the decision that they are over priced and not worth it at the moment. i hope the public server owner rules and access remain as they are now as long as cheating is to the most part stopped when the game is released. private hive server owners on the other hand should have full access to the server files.

my biggest fear is we will have the exact same building all over the map. while i see that it would be a lot of work to have every building unique in design i would like to see more building models added to the game.

ive yet to break my legs in the standalone. but old habbits die hard and im not happy till i have a morphine or wood for a splint after playing the mod where if you sneezed too hard you would break a leg. hats off to the OP for playing like his life depended on it a true survivor.

dayz physics in action. fall 5 ft you die fly a heli slap bang into the side of a moutain, walk away bleeding :)

I would like to be able to shoot while walking and running. Of course the accuracy of the guns should be terrible when moving but it would be more realistic and feel more natural.

just a troll group of server hopping, combat logging, spawn camping game exploiter's who come here to brag about what dicks they are to get something to flap over. nothing to see here move along.

from what i have read all you can do as a admin is change the server title and kick players at the moment.

Agree with you on the epoch server I play on you are spawned inland from the coast it seems by about a km which gives you that disorientated feeling as you can't orientate yourself using the coast line.

I play and help admin this server. Come try the servers out. Epoch has lots to do compaired to vanilla dayz

Alas there is cure for being a dick. I have helped lots of players but accept that some players are just in it for PvP and will try to lure you to them for a cheap kill. The way I look at it is a player is just burning a bridge with this kind of play. I have gotten to know and become friends with players I have helped but the dick players just go on my shit list. Op keep up the good work and congrats on dishing out some justice. :)
