    Rezzed - June 2013 - Developer Session

Thanks for the reply. Early Access will be great because it will further convey the idea that the game is incomplete and deter people from judging and reviewing the game before it's done, although I'm sure that will happen anyways to some degree.

Does anyone know if DayZ will be on Steam Early Access? I sure hope so.
  3. Yeah I wasn't attacking your post or anything, just speaking about the community in general the past 3 or so months.
  4. Camo nets are something that could very well make it into the game seeing as they are already in the mod, albeit in a limited manner.
  5. Helicopters won't be in the game until much later this year it seems, so perhaps by then some changes may have been made to the density of the foliage. I doubt it's a priority though, since they'll probably want vehicles out as soon as they're ready rather than changing minor things like trees. And as for an ecosystem...I would keep expectations very low. They are adding new animals with all new animations though, which will be neat for those who wish to live in the wilderness. Since the Chernarus map is based on satellite data of an actual location I'm pretty sure that the variety of terrain is accurate, except for rivers inland, but Rocket has discussed that rivers are very difficult to create on this engine. New satellite data has been purchased for the SA so the overall quality of the map should improve though.
  6. What's wrong with my spot on?
  7. Just because I feel like debating something pointless, why do you say that my suggestion leads nowhere? It seems like what I suggest is exactly the logic being used by the dev team and it seems to be leading them to finishing the game.
  8. Maybe that's the case. Although, Rocket and Matt usually are talking about staying up late to do the dev blogs so it apparently takes more time than it seems. They probably have to think a while I about what they want to reveal at this point, and of course taking proper in game pictures and uploading them can take some time. If they do a video, which is what everyone really wants, then that could take half a day getting set up. I think we're fortunate that the team is as involved with the community as it is right now.
  9. Am I the only one that realizes that any time not spent (read wasted) on doing Dev Blogs is spent working on the game so it comes out sooner? The sooner it comes out the sooner we won't need Dev Blogs. I hound this site for the updates as much as the next guy, but I'm not going to complain that the dev team is actually developing the game rather than posting a blog.
