  2. Me and a few freinds have been working behind the scenes recently on ideas to 'revive' the dayz mod players and build it into somewhat of a community. I have been playing Dayz for around 3 years now and slowly it has been seen to be deteriorating. We have had a few ideas for a couple of months now and only recently we have decided to do something about it. I am not going to disclose what we have planned as things may not work out, but it is getting to a point now that we must set up a server to lay foundations of a new community. We are looking for players that are willing to do this and play on the server and possibly be dedicated to the same cause as us.

Now on to the Server part as this is the server forum after all.

Its a simple question that we need help with, What map/mod would you like the first foundation block server to be?

It will almost certainly be some form of epoch, maybe even overpoch but that's why im asking for your help to decide..

    The options are as follows:

Dayz epoch, epoch origins, overpoch or overpoch origins.

These mods on any map of the following CHERNARUS, TAVIANA, LINGOR, NAMALSK or PANTHERA

     Any replies are greatly appreciated.

  3. I love Kamenka. Its my good luck charm. I say this with 100% truth. In one day I spawned 3 times. The first time I spawned, I went to Kamenka first, afterward I got so lucky with loot. I even found a heli in the middle of a field after chasing a bunny out of the woods. The second time I didnt visit Kamenka, I died in 15 minutes of playing by a sniper in Cherno. Third time, I visited Kamenka, I moved on, and I met a group of guys, they loaded me up with everything needed, gave me and ATV, and rode off. The next day I played again, didnt visit Kamenka, I died in a firefight in Elektro. It was unfair. I was alone 1v3. I killed two of them though.

I always considered Kamenka as a bad spawn for some reason?

  4. Hmm;

Am I the only one to stay in Elektro ?!

Where to find the best and fastest loot ?

    - On a survivor off course !

Then, Elektro has it all ..

Continuous flow of survivors ; lots of hidding places ; clear sight and very hard to settle for snipers.

    (significantly less chaotic than Tchernogorsk)

Off course ; you must enjoy reading or doing something else while you're waiting

Way too dangerous with sniper hill!

  5. There is a small barn, a few kilometers down the road south from Polana. Its covered by the tree line from three angles, and I've found something useful there every time I stop by. There is a bus, sedan, and chopper crash spawn that within kilometers of the barn. I've found the sedan there just about every time. I have a few tents hidden in a patch of dense vegetation nearby, where I store food and ammunition: the useful things I find but don't carry with me everywhere. I keep a gun or two in the tent in case I die, so I can return and rearm. I've told stories by the fire to friends and strangers alike, and I now call it home. I find warmth, comfort, and peace away from the horror and hell of bandits and zombies.

Unless a zombie spawns in the barn and eats you alive while you are resting!

  6. This is such a basic thing yet no-one even knows you can do it!

It sickens me when they drink without cleaning the water first!

If you don't know how all you need is

    -a campfire

    -dirty water (from ponds ect.)

    -empty tin can

It is as simple as having some water in your inventory and scrolling on your fire and selecting the option

Simple as! No more thirsty and no infections!

Hope this helps if you are new or even you just didn't know!

  7. Anywhere with a large forest... Meaning North of Elektro is about as homely as its gets. Zub Castle is a cool spot, very high up, can see for miles.

Recently taken to Skalisty Island again.. No one can be bothered to swim, but who needs to when you have a PBX.

    Good until it sinks!

  8. I am more of a Ranger type player. Using a m16 ACOG as my weapon of choice. Not realy packing a sniper rifle as I need the space in my bag. Becuase of this, I take up residence of a 9 squar KM area centerd around 06 06 on the map. Plenty of cities to hit. Desent places to hide when you are not in a field, and close to military spawns and helicpters.

Ranger that dosen't rock sniper rifles! Thats a first :) although i must say the M16 is awesome!

  9. Definately Pulkovo. Dont get much traffic that way, and has a castle near it for visability. Relatively close to zel aswell; has fuel and GREAT camp hiding spots. I've had a 7man clan tented just East of Pulkovo for over three weeks, until a heli found us. In non or low-heli servers it's a very safe spot :)

We all have crossbows to take out heli's anyway! ;)
