OP I agree, but even if we helped each other, then what? Basically, "Alpha", lol. I'm still hopeful other announced, but yet to be implemented, new features changes things enough to make cooperation useful beyond just PVP.

DayZ currently just doesn't live up to the hype. I'll keep my eye on it for new developments/features, but if it stays in this state, I won't be back.

The Mod, as is, will never survive as a Mod, nevermind as a commercial product. It needs a lot more added to it. Sorry, that's just the truth of the matter.

It definitely needs something. Finding Vehicles or "better" weapons can be a challenge, but are ultimately pointless as neither changes anything.

Had the problem on occassion, even started worrying that my Video card was packing it in. It seems rather random that it happens and only happens while playing DayZ.

Pretty much the same here. I never bothered with Vehicles or getting "better" weapons, just don't see the point. Didn't play yesterday(first day not playing in over a month) and probably won't play again until some new content is added to the Mod. There just isn't anything interesting to do. I still love the atmosphere, but the Mod needs a lot more added to it before it can be released as a standalone.

Which is why it's not quite there yet.

The term "Sandbox" has been properly stated, but is DayZ a Sandbox? I would say, not quite yet.

Yup, found out the hard way. 3 Z, 2 Mags used to bring them down(panic shooting after the first few shots failed), 2 Bandages required to stop bleeding. 2 Mags left, only 3 slugs for my Wincester(still 1 shot kill), will soon need to switch to Hatchet as Weapons are hard to come by where I'm at. Hopefully the Hatchet is still 1 hit, if not, I could be dead soon.

If I want DM/TDM, I'll play Unreal Tournament. What I really want to play is a Z Apocalypse Survival game, so far DayZ is not it. DayZ is still Alpha though, I remain hopeful it will become the Survival game that it has claimed to be, eventually.
