$120 will get you a decent card. Nvidia 550Ti and Radeon 7770 are available in that price range. On a sale, you might be able to swing an Nvidia 560Ti or Radeon 6850 even. All 4 cards mentioned should work just fine.

Elaborate on "Serious". Been thinking of Grouping up, but don't want to be camping the hills shooting Noobs. Nor would I be interested in Server Farming and/or other shenanigans.

Fight or Flight is the best survival tactic for DayZ. OTOH, sometimes neither is necessary. Today I logged in with my 8 Day old char and went on with my daily Loot Route. Shortly after starting I heard shots coming from the top of Green Mountain. I was lower down on the mountain, but fairly close and instead of taking Flight, I went about my usual Deer Stand looting. There are 2 Deer Stands nearby, first went normal, proceeded to the next still hearing the occassional shot. As I climb down the second ladder and began walking away, suddenly I hear the crack of 5 or 6 shots, then I fell over dead. Respawn near Komarovo. Found a couple goodies(Hatchet, Drinks), then decided to risk Bolota Airfield for the first time. Found a Remington in the Tower, nothing of interest in the hangar next to it, proceeded to next hangar. 10-15 meters in front of me I see quick movement, then notice a Z quickly running . Immediately I had a bad feeling about it, but I only recognized the Z, although it seemed at first to be 2 different bodies I had seen. Within a second of that occuring a Z aggro'd, so I ran back into the first Hangar. While I was still dealing with it, a survivor comes rushing in and shoots me dead. Wasn't a whole lot I could have done differently here, but Fight was my only option if I had the time to take it. Respawn at Cap Golova, looted Barns at Prigorodky, then proceed inland. At Staroye I came across another player and survived without shots fired. We were both headed to a Barn from different directions when suddenly we noticed each other with about 5m separating us. We looked at each other, then after a second I aimed away from him, did the old Left/Right lean jig, he did the same, and I backed away slowly only turning and crouch running when 20m separated us. I didn't really need anything at that point(have Food, Drinks, Meds, M1911, Double Barrel shotty,and a bunch of Ammo for guns I don't even have) and every Barn seems to have only Hatchets and Jerry Cans these days, so it was no loss. This was the exception to the rule, but given the nature of DayZ, should have ended badly for one of us.

After killing someone you have 30 seconds to do something Good. Like killing a Z. If you don't, you put the barrel in your mouth and pull the trigger. Just like it would happen IRL. :P

You seem to not have watched their Minecraft videos. That's pretty close to exactly how they go and they are funny as hell while doing it. That said, "funny" is rather subjective, so some will Like, some will Dislike.

Get the Arma 2 Demo or Free version and try it out. I rather doubt it will be pleasant, but with tweaking it might work.

Accidently opened a Door that went through you? Did that once trying to switch weapons while Z were right on my tail. Didn't die, but it all happened so fast I was lucky to escape alive.

What I wouuld like is that the Time on the Server be a Default part of the Server Name. 25% of the time, it seems, when I join a server it is not the time expected. Some servers do put the time in their name, but many do not and it's annoying.

Do not approach anyone. Put as much space between them and you as possible. Only communicate if they know you are there.

The first thing I turned off was the music. Hearing is just as important as seeing in this game. OTOH, I have sometimes played GTA and Saints Row just because I wanted to listen to the Radio. :D

Indeed he is. Many of us agree, it is far too difficult to find Mountain Dew.

Just spent approx 1 hour trying repeatedly to exit Pogorevka. After the 8th or 9th failed attempt to sneak out, I just ran then killed the 2 Z that were still behind me. All except 1 of those attempts I was Crouch Walking, but my last attempt was Crawling and I didn't get any further than my previous attempts before Aggro'ing a Z. Not sure if I like/dislike it, might just be a matter of getting adapted to it.

Hmm, might have to give MineZ a try. MineCraft, DayZ, and Saints Row 3(going through a second time) are all I play these days.
