You know the Arma engine, you get killed for standing in a tree. Get broken legs from turning around in a super market. I just got launched in the air yesterday for jumping over a fence. You can pretty much die everywhere and maybe there is a object in the way that nobody thought would be there and you spawn in it, who knows.

I always warn my players before a restart and suggest them to get out of cars, save them and their tents. Except it crashes of course but then we can't do anything about it.

The system you mentioned would alert you that a player is near you since your position changed, which could be abused too. Also it could bug out sometimes and result in a player death. I would prefer a login timer for like 2/5 minutes if you want to login to another server in a too short time period. That would atleast make server hopping to kill people and loot stuff alot more unprofitable.

I got the Beta patch and still spawned out there and also lost all my gear. It's not me being too stupid to install a beta patch but rather the Hive fucking up my character.

So, we had huge server problems yesterday since the Hive went crazy it started to lag the shit out of everyone. We lost all our tents and vehicles by now. I joined again today and I spawned in the middle of nowhere with all my equip gone. Only thing still there is my kill counter and such stuff, the rest: gone. Tents, vehicles, weapons, everything. That doesn't sound very fair but well, I will try to run out of there for now. I would be happy already if I could get moved in the map already. Just running east into the sun now... I am back on the map now. Run South East for some time till you see trees.

How about letting the character have remorse about killing someone? The more you kill the more your character will get insane. Screen will get shacky and blurry, you need pills to calm your character down. Your character walk in zig zag even if you just press forward. Also after you kill someone your character should panic like he currently does with the zombies.

This depends, if he didn't see me but I did I will just take cover and ask in the chat who this is. I met alot of people by doing this already, some of them helped me out with blood packs and all that stuff. But if he is looking at me I usually shoot cause I don't have time to ask and he will probably shoot me too. There really should be a better system to ask them really fast if they are friendly. For example looking at them and pressing mouse wheel from far away will give them a message in the chat to ask if friendly or not. I would like to meet more survivors that help out each others. Hey, if I got an ATV and someone would ask me if I can take him somewhere, I would do it.
