    Backpack in a backpack

With the new patch coming out, this would be a great feature. Starting without a backpack is brutal eventhough some will say it's easy to obtain one, but for some it's not. This would be a great way for an advanced party memeber to help a fresh spawn out.

    Introduce yourselves

I am (-o-)Mr.Hyde. East coast servers. I haven't lived over a day yet, except on test servers. Worst part is I'm a hermit. Trying to learn the game dynamics before hitting the city. I'm an ardent supporter of Mumble and see that arma 2 has a plug-in for it. Would love to join up with someone else that uses it. PvP is my thing, but I'm in the prepare stage ( have to get used to Arma controls). I'm coming from BF2: Project Reality. Still play it, but this mod has me like a deer in headlights.

DayZ lag problem, do I need a new graphics card?

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i3-2120+%40+3.30GHz&id=752 Your cpu scored a bit less than mine. I've got a HD 6870 vid and half your ram. As far as I'm concerned you should be running on, at least, medium settings with no lag at all. P.S how are you running this on a 270W PSU? Doesn't the vid use almost half that alone?

    No loot and no zombies

I've also encountered the "delay" while performing many actions, i.e harvesting wood, eating, drinking, adding items to toolbar, picking up tents, etc. It seems to happen every time I try to pick up a tent and quit often when I'm trying to put either my hatchet or flashlight back into the toolbelt. Sometimes my character will go on hush mode and won't make any sounds to alert the zombies, even after firing at them-they react to the sound of the gun but not my character. I've also encountered the no zombie or loot spawn as well, but a simple game restart will fix it and the other weird quirks too. Of course they keep coming back after some time playing. I was told it's a client side issue. I'm assuming it has something to do with my steam install because every time I try to validate my local files it keeps saying one file failed to validate and redownloads a 816k file, for both ARMA 2 and OA. I've just finished uninstalling everything arma. did a CCleaner registry wipe restarted computer and am currently installing arma through steam again.
