    Canned Peaches

Can openers are in abundance in those large machine shop buildings in Elektro, if you guys are in need of them.

    where are the Amphibia mags?

I've found several in the tents south of Balota. Lots of ammo, MP parts, M4 mags, compensators, bayonets, a couple SKS's, SKS stripper clips, CZ75 mags, M9 mags, and FNX45 mags, along with any guns and attachments associated with them. Also plenty of ballistic helmets, clothes, and chest holsters. Only things I haven't found is a Blaze, a Magnum, or a shotgun. Be careful, I've found a couple different people nearby recently on some different servers.

    Loved it lol. YT Name?

    Please, say NO to helicopters.

How about making them more fragile? IRL, depending on the helicopter, they are quite fragile. One rotor blade torn to shreds, and the helicopter will be extremely unbalanced and could tear itself apart. A stray bullet to a fuel line, and there goes the tail rotor, or god forbid the main rotor. One bullet through the glass to the pilot's head and that helicopter will be hitting the ground faster than a noob running on a rooftop. Make them more fragile, and they will be balanced. And for the love of god, make it so the copilot can do something if the pilot dies. The controls are there for a reason.

I'm pretty sure he was joking due to the smiley face. Calm down man, I'm sure he was being sarcastic. If he was serious, I'm sure he'd go on to say how much better Europe is and why the US sucks, but he didn't. Take a joke, and don't instigate it further. Not all Americans are like that, you shoulda just told him to go back to his tea and crumpets, jokingly.

    Devs need more pressure.

Have you played GTA V? It sold millions, upon millions of copies in the first week, with RockStar taking in somewhere around 360 MILLION dollars in the first three days. Then they released multiplayer, which was sped up and demanded by players. Their MP was plagued with people who've tricked the DNS server and everyone had billions of dollars. It destroyed the online economy and the whole point of the game. I don't think it will ever recover and be the same. You have to have patience; I want this game to be good and almost perfect the first time stuff is released, not after everyone leaves.

    your choice in weapons?

Primary: Mosin with a compensator, probably going to switch back to an SKS or maybe an M4 provided I find them with ammo. Secondary: FNX45 with 3 spare mags and handful of bullets in a chest holster. Melee: Pristine Fireaxe that I've had quite a bit of good luck in chopping zombies heads apart. Looking forward to finding other guns, specifically a Magnum. I've only found an M4 once so far, and didn't take it due to my SKS having more ammo and I figured it wasn't good for the situation of being on the coast.

    Got enough ammo?

I thought this would be a jeer at how much ammo you can find  I think ammo is a tid bit abundant in DayZ atm. I've found more than enough ammo for my mosin in police stations along the coast, and I actually found an M4 in one, but didn't feel it was tactical enough for what I wanted to do. Eg: Sit in the woods and move stealthily. I haven't found TOO much M4 ammo, but I found a mag and a handful of bullets with no mag. It just seems ammo is too plentiful in places it should not be. I expect finding pistols, along with .45 and 9mm ammo in policestations, along with maybe their pistols, along with a shotgun. I don't expect to find an M4 in a Russian police station unless they arrested some ex-soldier that tore their heads off like in Rambo.

DayZ SA's current state in a nutshell.

This was the best video I have seen, Good for him and beans to you. I agree with what was said above; clunky, but definitely better than the mod. I've only played for a couple hours and have gotten my moneys worth, I want to play MORE! The reason they've made the SA is to have a better platform to build off of, along with the newer engine. The mod was very limited in that it was based off the main game, while SA is to a point, but they can do what they please with it. The game costs money for a reason, in that they NEED the money to keep producing it. If you watched Dean at Rezzed, he stated they've hired a whole team dedicated to DayZ, along with more people on their own. They can't develop things with no income, they would go bankrupt and the idea would go to complete shit like WarZ. Ever hear of KickStarter? I'm sure you have. People throw thousands of their money at ideas they like on the website, they might not even receive ANYTHING in return, for their money besides a thanks and the good feeling they get if the idea happens. Without any funding, please tell me where DayZ would be now? Progressing at a slower pace than it is perhaps? Maybe it would be discontinued and you can keep playing the same old, clunky, buggy mod. Would you like that? No offense to the mod, but the first time I started SA, I looked at it and already knew it was 1000 times better, or at least it had the potential to. I can only imagine when vehicles come out: if they're anything like ARMA III's, then they will be awesome. You have to think of the future instead of the present in this game, and in life in general. Yeah, you have to think when a bandit's taking potshots at you, but if you thought clearly ahead, you wouldn't be in that situation, would you? Good luck quitting SA forever since you feel you've been cheated, unlike I'm sure most of the 1.9 million people that have bought it I believe.

    Alternatives to the ballistic helmet

I don't agree with the UN variant being the best. I don't look like a bandit, but I stick out like a sore thumb due to it being bright blue. It's awesome looking though and I would love to get a complete set of military gear and help people, although I think I'll lose it rather quickly.

    Gassed Out Areas.

I think it would be a good addition to the game. When you enter a location with the gas, or nearing one, you could get a text warning such as: "You smell a musty and bitter smell in the air." or "The air smells tart and burns your lungs as you inhale. Just ideas. Would love to see it implemented.

Go for it. Turns out that server is bad :( Start with an M9SD. WHY CAN'T WE START WITH NOTHING!!!!???!!!
  13. Name: Brian Age: 16 Timezone: GMT-1 Eastern Standard Time/East Coast of US to be more exact. Country: United States Are you willing to commit to the NCR: Yes sir. Preferred Job: NCR Pilot or Ranger. Maybe a combat medic if I'm needed. Why do you think you deserve to be in the NCR: I think I deserve to be in the NCR since I like to be group-oriented, such as aiding others, helping them, and accomplishing goals necessary to survival. I like to fly helicopters quite a bit, and I believe I'm quite skilled at it, considering I use a trackpad and WASD. If you let me fly, I can prove to you that I can meet your demands and needs to bring troops in, evade, pick up, and firing runs. I can fly any helicopter or airplane you give me, with my favorites being the V-22 Osprey and the Little Bird. I can also meet the needs as a Ranger, providing support where needed, and using various tactics to attempt to take any threat down. I have also played Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, if that means anything. Thanks for reading, Brian
  14. I would love to trade a camonet for NVGS. PM me back, thanks. I also have a G17 I can trade, food and stuff, and maybe my gun if you would give one in return. Thanks Brian
  15. Hey, I have- A camonet G17 with 4 mags I don't need. I can get- Almost any gun, given time. Vehicle parts if you still need them. Medical supplies. I would like any of these in order from most wanted to least wanted- NVGs GPS A ghillie Any cooked meat. M4A3 CCO in trade for my M4A1 CCO(Same gun, I like the camo.) A tent?
  16. If I can find a group to join, or if some of the other lone wolfies here would like to make a group, that'd be great. I love killing bandits, especially without hesitating. If anyone wants to band together to kill some of these guys, PM me.

I'm down. PM me if you find a server. I've been looking for a mostly vanilla server.
  19. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knows of a completely or almost VANILLA Namalsk server to play on. I would like one with the Magnetic Waves, Bloodsuckers, basic buildings, and everything else ORIGINALLY in the mod. I don't mind small stuff like Self Blood Bag or take clothes, but I don't want a starting loadout and 10000+ vehicles. If anyone has one or knows of one, please post the name or a link to it's website or ANYTHING! I'm dying to play a vanilla one, and all the ones now are PvP, M4A1 CCO SD loadout, and Hueys everywhere or something. Thanks for the help guys, Brian

    Newbie Flying

Turn auto hover ON the first time from the scroll menu. Then try just going forward, backwards banking, up and down, and rotating with c and v I believe. When you're ready and haven't gotten sniped, turn auto hover off and start to go forward and take it easy. Good luck!

    I have turned!

Hey guys, So here's sorta a backstory of my play style. When I first started, I strived to be a hero, help people, and make friends. Didn't last long, I'll tell you that. I then turned to just being neutral. Not helping anyone, but instead stalking people, staying out of major cities, and doing as I wish on my own. That all change when the fire nat- er I mean bandits attacked. I've gotten sick of being killed by people who camp around in groups, or just kill everyone. You know what they say, if you can't beat em, join em. Sorta anyways. I joined a group of two other guys and we've been playing on Caribou, which by the way is one of the best maps I' ve played, but back to the story. We pretty much just take what we want and try to get what we need. The other guys sometimes KoS, which I sorta disagree about, but hey, to each their own. I try to just provide overwatch and shoot anyone who is an immediate threat and I know will shoot me anyways. I've killed plenty of people in the past, in self defense, in others defense, accident, or for a partial reason. The other day I shot my first bambi, unarmed, in a field after he spawned. I heard him already get shot at, while my group was stationed outside Fort Crassus, waiting for another to exfiltrate and regroup. I saw him running towards me, and I shot. He yelled through direct saying he was friendly, but he was a threat to the group, so down he went. He raged on side chat for a bit, but it didn't change anything. I'm not sure what to feel now. I regret it quite a bit, but it was for a good reason. That kill earned me my bandit skin, and it looks alright. Do I continue this rampage, or cease shooting at people? Catch ya on the flip side, Me
  23. maybeme

    I have turned!

I see that. I don't want to be a bandit, someone who can't be trusted and is usually shot, but it's hard when everyone else shoots at you and gives you the mentality of everyone else trying to kill you. I try to subdue it, but it gets out, and when animals, people included, they go crazy and do whatever to survive. DayZ is a social experiment, isn't it?
  24. I agree from the no internet standpoint. Or if none of my friends are online, and it's either play with them or noone. Makes sense to me from that standpoint. Plus, couldn't it be a seperate hive JUST on your system?
  25. maybeme

    I have turned!

I'm not exactly proud of it, but it was either me or one of my partners with a DMR. I wasn't exactly sure he was unarmed until he was next to me, and I panicked. Karma got me back half an hour later when a guy mowed me down with an MK17 on full auto. Serves me right, and I won't KoS with no reason again hopefully. I didn't want to risk giving away our position, and it was easier that way. Too many variables to ponder in too little time. Sorry. I'm not like my partners. They mowed down a guy in Oil Bay outside the barracks when he yelled he was friendly, and even though he was armed, I would've let him live if I were alone. Maybe even teamed. Didn't happen, he was dead before I even saw him.
