Since DE12 and DE13s logs get spammed with "kicked due to BE not being able to update" I feel the need for this little tutorial since a lot of players seem to be unable to play at the moment. Go here: http://www.battleye.com/download.html Download v1.61.94945+ BE Client for Windows (32-bit) (Version number may vary in the future. Just download the newest version number.) Go to your download directory and copy the BEClient.dll you've just downloaded Go to your ArmaIIOA root. Look for .....\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye -E.g. for steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\BattlEye Copy your new downloaded BEClient.dll into this folder and override the old one. ??? Profit This fix also works for BE troubleshooting if you can not get onto servers or if you get constantly kicked by BE. Some of you may encounter client crashes after doing the update manually. I can only second this. Although 1.7.2 aimed already for ammo tracking and rocket managed to partially implement it. Sometimes your magazines get refilled, sometimes not. As you've already pointed out, the ammo factor is currently out of the game. One of the most immersion-killing concepts of this brilliant apocalypse. Every bullet should hurt two people. The victim and the shooter. ~Codus

And my night-adventures continue! A pity not many can enjoy it like I do. Gear addiction should be a clinically recognized illness! The Fog is so damn creepy! Oh dear lord! My heart! They must origin from the farm ahead....... .......or the pile of trash I nearly bumped my nose at! The first things I found were some chemlights. How conveniently! Now lets have a look....... Smashed medical equipment, a dirty bandage, broken morphine.....God damn it! The MRE's are walking around me as well. That is some tough luck. And I am so hungry! A M240 LMG, FN Fal with a 7.62 magazine and a Barrett M82 with also a mag. Useless. Either too heavy to carry around or way too exotic. I stay with my rusty-but-trusty AK-74. 60 rounds are more of use than 20. And neither of them will keep me warm, nor fill my grumpy stomach tonight! ~Codus

Well done mate! Disconnecters make me want to punch kittens........ I really hope rocket manages to implement it soon and in a sneaky way, so I can run up to them and shout "DISCONNECT THIS!" while splitting their ALT+F4 keyboard with my axe........ -
I can confirm this happening on our servers DE12 and DE13 as well. Ignore the message for now. It does not matter if the game tells you you are legit or not - till the point where you suddenly turn into a cow, can't shoot straight or suddenly wet your pants.

Odd. Thanks for the reply. My ammo gets resetted on our 2 servers. Maybe it is connected with the issue that we have to use the old mission file until our ticket gets answered. :-( Oh and another issue. Should have been fixed in 1.7.2. Not working in 1.7.2.3: * [FIXED] Hatchet/Crowbar requires reloading ( https://dev-heaven.net/issues/34903 ) What is with this one? Not working for me. Anyone else? ~Codus

I wonder what happened to the 1.7.2 change in bold: * [NEW] Player Syncing system replaced (increased performance and ammo quantity tracking) Currently the ammo isn't being tracked with 1.7.2.3 and each time someone logs in the magazines are full again. ~Codus

Full moon. And since I am a werewolf......zombie....sleepwalker I felt the need to roam around. Shopping tour in Pustoshka (Or however you write it) Sneaking out of town "EEEEKS! An....Anyone there? Anyone?" Warm beans - Best beans. Yep, a cozy place to be! On my way to the camping place through the woods. I had to pull out my flashlight soon after. Finally found a road leading to....... ......a creepy estate on a hill. Made me want to call Buffy AND the Ghostbusters.

The only thing that needs balancing is the players fear. Keep it this way and everyone will still be freaking out if a zombie bee-lines towards him/her. The mere fact that you ain't save with 12k blood pressure and the "OMG I JUST LOST MY LEET GEAR!GO MAKE ZEDS WEAKER!" afterwards should signal rocket that this is the right way. Even Rambo himself with 2 LMG's should wet his pants against zombies.

It is just a guess: You do not have a weapon right now, do you? Try hitting right click once. If you do not have a gun, right click gets you into a walk pace. You don't get any zoom at all.

This is a mindgame: "What if....". Just because it ain't real life, we would not grow wings in a game and fly away from the zombies. The realism approach is as follows: Take a snapshot from our reality. Now put zombies in it. There you go. Only unrealistic things are the zombies now.

Maybe if you get fed up with dying at some point, why don't you try to play one of your lifes as pure survival. Trying not to die as hard as you can do. And avoid injuries. To keep it fun for the viewers yo could set yourself daily goals like: Today I want to visit Brezino, Pusta and ..... You get the picture. Play it safe and don't take unnecessary risks but without staying out of towns all day.

Takes a serveradmin about 5 minutes to do so. Most servers do not use the beta tag anymore, since it became mandatory with the latest dayz update anyways. At least that is what we enforce for DE12 and DE13. Get the latest beta (or 2 versions below. Depends on what the beta fixes) and have a good time.

As long as there is no single persistent big server for all of us to play on, there won't be any consequences or any concerns about your own reputation. You can shoot people and be a complete asshat and simply log out to go to a different server. You'll never see the other person again. And even with a persistent big server you'd still have the "badass" type of players. See EvE online. A lot of people enjoy to be bad. And there is nothing wrong with it in the first place - As long as there are downsides to it.

I really do hope that the 1.7.2 patch does not render the medical system pretty useless. If you only encounter a broken bone or severe pain every 200 zeds, you'd never worry about medical supplies anymore. Should be the second most important thing to look for right after food. Furthermore nearly no player is scared of zeds this way.

This topic made me laugh out loud since this reminds me of any MMO out there. Guys, take one step back from the whole topic and tell me what you see. You clearly talk about GEAR in this topic. GEAR. Even someone said that gear is everything in this game. Oh come on. Another step back. Get the picture of DayZ(ArmaII) yet? Give me a rifle that shoots straight and maybe a decent buddy. Now I can take on ANY "high tier weapon" as long as I follow the basic rule: Keep a cool head and don't do stupid things. I think rocket still has not arrived with his mod where he wants to be. As long as people have time to think "what is the best weapon I could farm?", the game ain't harsh enough. There is no end game you need to be equipped for. Any "raid group" will take you with them if you only have a makarov. "LF men for Elektro-Raid. Gearcheck at the well in Zelenogorsk." Still......you got me with two points: I also think the Ghillie does not fit in well. Not due to PvP or any other balancing issues. More like it does not fit into the scenario very well. Who would run around in a Ghillie during a zombie apocalypse? Furthermore nobody looks like a real survivor anymore. I guess 50% of the people I come across wear this stupid thing. No more backpacks with Ghillies would be a very cool thing. If you want to wear any, you'd need to set up a camp somewhere with a tent. And if you want to loot effectively, you'd need to wear other clothes. Yeah and the thermal scope thingy. Would love to see some batteries making their way into this brilliant mod. For flashlights, NVG's, rangefinder and the thermal scope. EDIT: Good post there Panther. Pretty much sniped me on my own thoughts there. -
Found three clumped on a deerstand the other day. Also I am finding them on a regular basis there. It is just the subjective feel. If you have a broken leg and need morphine urgently,it is most likely that you won't find any. The spawnrate feels quite fine. We still should have some reason to risk visiting high-risk places besides reason number 1: Find "awesome_weapon_1 + NVG's" You should be forced to visit certain places according to the top priority of a survival list: 1#Food: supermarkets for high chances 2#Medicine: The Hospitals

This is a user-/serveradmin-' date=' not a mod-issue. Install the correct Arma Beta patch and you are all fine and dandy. (Or the serveradmin should) BW can already be removed with a toolbox. Go scavenge for one and relieve Chernarus from the painful wire-clusterfuck! On Topic: rocket, maybe you should make a certain Beta patch mandatory for this update once again. (Like your stated Beta 94033 for a fix) I somehow recall you saying something along the lines that you can not force (with the mod itself) all server owners to use a certain beta. (and therefore all clients as well) Reason is so we don't get lots of people having bugs due using/playing on servers with the wrong beta.
