Hello, basically the past few days my home server has been having issues. First problem is that joining the server using dayz commander will not work, no idea why, it reaches "wait for host" and freezes on that. Second, the ping issues, this is a local server and before these issues I would get ping around 40ms. Lately its been having major ping spikes where ping will jump up to 250+. Since I began noticing these issues, the server pop never reaches more than 10 people, as it used to level out at around 30. Any ideas?

Has nothing to do worth the fact that you don't kill people. This game needs more people who don't KOS. What I think they are saying is that your gear and qty of zed kills could be rivaled in half and hour. EDIT: 15 minutes if you know what your doing.

It seems that the only thing this poll shows is that there really needs to be a hive reset. Its been so long since Iv had a close quarter fire fight. So long since Iv ever had to loot ammo from spawns. So long since Iv actually had a purpose when entering towns. Is a hive reset even possible? Because we really need one.

I dont believe USING one is quite as bad as hacking one in. Seeing as that they used to be in the game, using one can be seen to be ok, depending on the server admin. Hacking however is wrong regardless of the circumstances regardless to what you hack in.

So far approx 61% of people have a .50cal 14% of those 61% have a TWS 34% use the 5 round nato's In other words 3/5 people you meet will have a 50.cal sniper.

You have twisted what I have said to quite an extent. In other words. Do you own an AS50. As in, is it in a tent, on your person etc. Not wether or not your friend owns one and would be willing to lend you one. It isn't really yours. Do you posses an AS50? Is it yours? However I will edit the pole regardless to ensure that it is more clear.

You may be right. However you may not be. Either way I think its worth a try.

Then you must be relatively new to the mod, in much older updates it was a legit loot spawn in dayz, it was then removed from the loot tables, however it was not wiped from the hive. Think about, if the dayz dev team could wipe weapons from the hive, why do hack weapons continue to circulate?? Bottom line is that it was in the game and its legal to use it. If an admin bans you, appeal it because they have no right to, and will be reprimanded when caught out.

Of all the hacked weapons to have, the TWS is the most legal as it was originally in the game at a later date and has been removed as of recently. Because of this, Id keep it. If you get banned, you have an excellent case against the admin. Disregarding the rule that you cant be banned for using a hacked weapons, the admins don't know 100% that its hacked in (neither do you) because as far as you know, that player may have been a veteran who had managed to keep it since it was removed.

Hey guys, some friends and I own a server and we would like to update to the latest version. Only problem is apparently it wipes vehicles and tents. We have a few vehicles and tents to ourselves as im sure many of our players do. My question is this. If we update, will all vehicles and tents be wiped?? Thxs

Vehicles yes we recently lost a chopper so i don't think the guys that currently have it would appreciate it if we wipe the server, in fact they would probably be like you and jump of the forums to QQ. Duped items, no. We payed for this server, we maintain it. So yes, we would like to know whether or not our map that we have been working on and fortifying will be wiped, we are trying to set up a trade post for other players, we have put quite a bit of effort into it. We are hoping to open it for public use, its all ready, however because we are on 1.7.2.4 no one comes on anymore, so our post is always quiet. If our gear has to be wiped then so be it. But I would at least like to know first. The new update is extremely bugged and we hoped a hot-fix would be released to fix it, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I would also appreciate if people like you wouldn't generalise all server admins to be the same and question my intent before you understand it. Our main concern as I have already said are the fortifications we have set up for our post. We have a few vehicles, but they are secondary.

Well you better be make sure those people that you ban actually spawned it themselves, because if they appeal their ban for simply being in possession of a hacked gun, then that may be bad news for you because its not a ban-able offence. You could risk being black listed. Anyway on the topic, I believe that the TWS was once in the game yes? If thats the case, there would be a chance that that particular TWS is legit.
