Whats the date thing you mention mate? My reply was a comment in relation to something Fraggle commented on not to what i am expecting from the standalone or it to be. But i get your point.. i hate trying to be intellectual.

I like many millions await this 'shed load of new content' and 'improvements in core gameplay' you speak of my friend...Until that time though i, like many millions, will continue to enjoy the product of the modders 'playing around' with the concept. I have no idea how to mod nor do i know of 'those restrictions' you speak of but i can certainly appreciate the results of such modding. It has been these 'recycled' ideas that have kept my interest in this 'mod' and why i keep coming back for more. I enjoy these types of discussions. i hope this isnt deviating too much from the original topic. Apologies if so.

If the majority wanted vanilla servers why are they empty? I agree a lot of the mods/maps have failed but does that mean they should "have a go"? Sure a lesson is learnt from their failures about things people want and don't want. Apologies by th way I'm now trying to type on my phone. -

Yeah but modding allowed the creation of this Mod. Why do you feel the mods have ruined this mod? If people choose to play 9000 vehicle servers for a bit of fun then why should we stop them.. Doesnt mean we have to play those particular mods. If you build it they will come.. be it maybe only for a short time to try it out.. then go back to vanilla or caramel servers or whatever you want. If you dont want mods then remove the option to mod. Opinions will differ mate thats for sure so lets agree to disagree. -

What if ARMA2 wasnt open to modding ? Then, possibly this mod wouldnt have been created... I say let the modders mod. It opens up all types of possibilities. -
